Earnest Roofing

Earnest roofing installed my roof on July 18, 2018. On October 14th my roof leaked and ruined the upstairs flooring and sheet rock downstairs. I called the salesman Mike, who then sent out the subcontractor to repair the roof leak. He arrived and caulked wet roof. After repeated calls, texts and emails over several days, the owner Phillip Earnest finally returned my call. He agreed to send out the subcontractor to repair leaking roof, when the roof was dry, then send out foreman to inspect repairs. Also, Phillip agreed to pay back my insurance deductible in a few weeks. After 8 weeks have passed, I have not seen a foreman arrive to inspect the repair, nor have I received the check to pay back my insurance deductible for damages resulting from a faulty roof installation. Phillip will not answer his cell phone nor his office phone and will not return my calls when I leave a message with his office staff. His salesman/foreman has not returned my calls or emails or texts. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and will see how Earnest Roofing responds. I cannot recommend this roofing company since the owner/operator will not answer or return phone calls and has not performed work as agreed upon. I've hired numerous contractors since 1978 and this is by far my worst experience concerning hiring a contractor. Very disappointed, especially since they were recommended by several people I know. Buyer beware.

They did a fantastic job! Re-roofed our house and it looks better than it originally did! John was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Jessie and his crew were very very courteous, cooperative, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, fast, efficient, and helpful. This was one of the most pleasant construction experiences I have ever had. Two thumbs up!! :)

Excellent work on repair, a little short on keeping me informed of when job was to be done.

Prompt - they showed up when they said they would.
Fast - Finished applying shingles in two days.  
Friendly - enjoyable good old boys. I liked them.
Cost - they were very helpful with hail damage insurance claim.   
Follow-up. - Can't give a good rating here. They have never done some of the clean up they committed to do. We've been in contact about it four to six times. They keep saying they will be here soon to finish the job, but over two months have passed and they are still a no show. 
Would I use them again? Probably, but only if we agreed that I could hold back part of the final payment until the whole job - including clean up - was complete.

For such an old home, we needed a company that understood the importance of doing it right and with care to preserve the history of this home.
