Description of Work: Tear out existing wood deck and framing ( 13ft by 26 ft approx) Jack and shore up Porch ceiling for concrete work to be done ( there were 4 wooden post this company removed along with wood deck) Removed trim from top beam to see how things were constructed by previous vendor Set, Place, Stain ( two colors chosen by me) and finish a Stamped concrete patio ( same size approx as previous wooden deck)- stamped design I choose as well- it was Arizona Flagstone. Rebar was used for this patio ( see pictures) When patio was done a single new Cedar post with aluminum base was added to the patio - at one end- it was "heftier than the other posts. was added ( bythe way calculations were made to determine if this post and a bracket that was attached to House outside wall would hold the weight of the patio roof). This particular design was chosen by myself and this contractor as a way to carry the load of the roof and to be more appealing that the previous design of four post. Install TWOcustom cut ( with a beautiful design and painted black) brackets- one for load bearing activity and the other by the wooden post- for a symetrical look (please see pictures). a newtrim wood that was very sturdy was added to the top beam. ( theyadd to build and remove tempary wall for the new beams- quite an effort) ( as stated in the proposal "two 2 x8x 16 LVL's were installed some trim wood below the long windows was removed and corrected (it was now a more appealing solid piece) small brackets were added in the center of this long beam for hanging Plants. Powerwash complete house sidings and trim before a complete house painting of all painted outside surfaces All gutters and down spouts were removed ( over half of the gutter previous install had been put in incorrectly causing some roof damage- Roor repair is in another review) All painted services were prepped, primed and painted in color chosen by me ( also the painters came back later for some touch up tasks) A new continous Gutter/down spout design was discussed with A&G because I wanted to add two 50 gallon rain barrels. The new gutter system was installed with this design factor ( see pictures)- the gutter system is working as expected. There is a lot of water that comes off the roof! Note: one side of house does not have a gutter and part of back of house does not have a gutter- these areas did not have gutters originally and I saw no reason to add gutters to that side.
