They lie to you and they will tell that they will do something and them turn around and say they can’t. They don’t follow through on their commitment and they say things to sell you things rather than delivery good customer service. It is a very deceptive company.

It took several weeks of who to where to call and getting the internal team at Verizon to look at their records to figure out what was being done and who was responsible for what.
This is the Verizon FIOS team. IF you call regular Verizon for FIOS issue or set up. IT will never happen!
My number could not be ported to my new location. I have to get new business cards and such.
The package for calling could not be reimplemented. I now call long distance to a local area code.
Again, after about 3 weeks, I have phone and internet. All this is billed directly through my work. If I was paying the bill, they would have been fired!

The people at Verizon are very knowledgeable per each department. I have always had good luck in resolving issues. This particular instance was unusual and the tech support went above and beyond the call of duty and resolved my issue with one phone call. It was great. They are polite and quick as well. I will continue to use them as my provider for home phone, cable and internet!

Installer was professional and personable. Worked steadily, surmounted severaL minor challenges with the installation. Installed an updated phone jack in the same location as part of the service. No problems to this point with the service. Lower ratings are for Verizon in general (not this installer), which was lackidaisical in scheduling the install, did not follow up when the 1st installer did not come. delayed in getting 2nd installer scheduled. BUT he showed up on time and completed the work as noted.

The field technicians are always great; no complaints with them. The problem is with Verizon phone support (and in the past with their billing department). I upgraded to Quantum and immediately suffered an internet outage. After 3 reboots of the terminal point outside, I finally convinced them to send out a technician. This meant spending hours on the phone and repeating the same steps. After the technician came out and did some work outside and replaced the router, another router arrived, but with no paper work where to return it.....I had been told to return the old router in the box the new one arrived in. Again, spending close to 15 minutes just to asked where didi I need to return the device, I got someone; overall the call took 30 minutes. While I had them on the phone, I mentioned that I had TV remote that seemed to be failing and could I get a new one. Now, there is a charge. Or I was told just to use my cell phone and download an app. Overall, this company is no worse than the other telecoms, but customer service is poorly lacking.

The download rate is erratic. It is often slower than advertised. Now they are raising their monthly rate.

I am now getting notices that they are going to cut off my service for no paying for equipment. It does not matter how many times I call and whom I talk to, no one does anything. I have asked the last three personnel I spoke with what was done after the last call to customer service and they said "NOTHING". I have put in a complaint to the FCC and I am going to take them to court when I am home from my job, in the mean time, I may not have a phone. Horrible customer service. I would say if you have to use them, get your own phone and don't get any equipment from them.

I periodically call them up and say that I am paying too much money and they find a way to lower it and cut a deal for me. The stupidest thing about them is their phones menu because getting through the phone robot is hell, but once I get through I am good to go and will get a good person and a real one. I always get somebody from Philadelphia of Kentucky and I was told by one of them that they have offices all over the country. They work for Citibank too because when I call their customer care I don't end up talking to an Indian and so far it has been good. They are real good and they won't come out and do thing with my equipment that is not in their work order. They are very responsive once I get them on the phone and they are always punctual. I will continue to use them in the future

I use the Verizon FiOS service and I love it. I've been using their services for 3 or 4 years. I pay by the month and it's about $250 including my cell phone.

Service for over 3 years, exceptional quality and reliability. Almost no outages in service. Wireless router replaced once, no charge, mailed to my house.

I was unsatisfied with their job. I felt they didn't know what they were doing. Plus, it took them six hours to get the job started. They need to improve their customer and technical support as well. I wouldn't recommend them or hire them again.

They laid the fiber originally to a place I was not happy with the location. I asked they relay the fiber to another part of the house, which they did without complaint or at any charge to me. They also ran cable in the house as necessary to support my Internet connection and TV.
