I got several quotes for extending our patio and doing a build out with a built in grill and Green Egg. After meeting with several companies I decided to go with Mike Steele and Steele Landscaping bc I felt like Mike would do a good job. He came referred to me and was told he and his people do great work. Mike was very friendly initially and assured me that he is not cheap but does quality work. I wanted to do my patio in a couple of different stages because of the cost. In between the concrete and the build out I was told about a company that I should contact to see what they would do the build out for. Thank goodness I did! They were 1/2 the cost of Steele Landscapes quote. After all of the build out was done by the other company. Mike and his people refused to fix the part that they did. After a few months the patio began chipping and breaking and the stain also started spotting in certain places because it was not sealed properly. Because I chose to use another company to do the build out, Mike and his people refused to come fix the poor work that was done. I would never use Steele Landscaping again!!

They very good, effective and the quality of work was very fantastic.

The finished Top and side areas for the grill and cooler turned out amazing. The masonary work was top of the line and the attention to detail was great. When it came time to run the electrical wiring, they remove the trim and cut a grove along the boards so that the wiring was not exposed. The workmanship on the cedar storage area awesome. We were going with class 3 cedar grade board for the original design, however Mike did not like the look and upgraded the cedar to finished S2S tongue and gove cedar planks at no extra cost to the project. Now thats customer service! A Job well done!

Mike Steele was an absolute pleasure for me to work with on this project. He designed and managed this project from concept to completion and I could not be more pleased. Just one example of his management and professionalism is that I never had to call him to inquire when workers were going to show up. His firm's employees as well of those of his subcontractors were punctual, polite, friendly, cleaned up the worksite every day before leaving and, above all, possessed excellent skills in their respective specialties to the point of being perfectionistic. They were also very accommodating to me who was looking over their shoulders a lot of the time and asking probably some stupid questions. Another example of how well managed this project was is that never were there subcontractors conflicting with other subcontractors. Mike had them well organized and scheduled in very logical order so that one would show up when the previous one was finished. Mike was constantly here to check on the progress and quality of the work and to keep me informed as to the status of the project. His three guys in particular were outstanding as witnessed by the tip I gave them as they were leaving on the last day of the project. I also appreciated the fact that Mike came up with suggestions that would improve the visual appearance of the kitchen without adding substantial additional cost. Contracting for projects of this type can be very stressful. I am happy to report that this was the most stress free project that I've ever been involved with, thanks to Mike and his company. I should also add that even though this was a relatively small job, Mike made me feel like I was his one and only million dollar customer. I would recommend Steelescape Landscapes and Patios without reservation.

mike steele has a great website, and answered my initial email inquiry promptly. his email exchange and scheduling for a free estimate, all confirmed he was interested in small and large jobs. he showed up for the appointment timely and was extremely nice. my project includes approximately 200 sq ft of flagstone, and 10 boards added to a fence. he left representing he would send me a quote. finally, after my follow-up email, and after 10 days had passed, he replied with... we're really busy and booked, and it will cost between $4,000 and $5,000... obviously, this is an inadequate response, and given the project scope, the quote is probably 4 times higher than a market rate.

They did a wonderful job for me and I really like them. They were on time for work and finished it in timely manner.
