Kurt and his associate Kevin did a real nice job. I had purchased 3 slabs of prefabricated granite from a builders surplus warehouse and they installed them for me. One of the slabs had a pretty rough edge and they did a good job refinishing the edge. They did the sink cut out for the undermount sink, installed the wooden braces for the sink and drilled the hole for the faucet. There is one spot where it looks a little wavy on the back of the countertop, don't know if the drywall is off or what. I had to reschedule numerous times due to other delays and this didn't seem to be a problem.

I needed the opening in my Corian countertop widened to fit a new cooktop I has having installed. I was concerned that I wouldn't find anyone willing to do such a small job. I left a message for Kurt Bates one evening and he returned my call the next day. When I explained what I needed done, there was no hesitation from Kurt. He agreed to do the job and we arranged to have him come the day the new cooktop was to be installed. He called me the day before he was scheduled to come to confirm the appointment, and he and his partner Kevin Elder arrived as scheduled. They disconnected and removed my old cooktop and moved it to the garage for me. (They even cleaned out the cupboard below the cooktop that I hadn't had time to get to.) They completed the job in under an hour and left the work area clean. Kurt offered to return later the same day in case any adjustment was needed to fit the new cooktop, but the opening was just right and the cooktop fit perfectly. Many contractors have a minimum fee for small jobs, but Kurt only charged me $100; I had expected to pay more and was pleasantly surprised! Both Kurt and Kevin were courteous and professional; I would definitely use them again!

Picked up my granite counter top (which i purchased at builder's surplus in Haltom City) arrived on time, carried out old counter top, cut on site the new granite counter top including sink and faucet holes. Wiped granite clean and sealed it. Caulked in some area of cabinet to complete seal. Turned on my water and screwed on a cap to stop hot water faucet leak. Nice and professional. Done in a timely manner, very reasonable.

We bought our granite from a builder's surplus and they provided a list of installers. Kurt was one of those and we called him because he had an Angie's List review.
Kurt accommodated our schedule to come look at the prospective installation. He was very knowledgeable and set us at ease with his explanations of the job.
When we decided to make a couple of last minute changes to the installation, Kurt graciously took this in stride even on short notice. We changed how we wanted the corner joints handled and added a matching top for a rolling island.
We are very happy with our installation and will call Kurt first for future jobs.

Kurt and Kevin were on time and professional. Kurt explained the process and gave me tips for caring for the granite. He came back on a Saturday to cut a bit more off of the sink opening when I purchased a new sink. I really appreciated his extra effort in coming on a Saturday.
