Palafox Roofing Systems

Palafox will not repair a job done to my roof through their poor workmanship. Their company subcontracted a job and they did a poor job reinstalling my solar panels. Tesla recognized, through the monitoring of my panels, how poorly a job they did. Tesla then came out and had to shut them off, because of the danger they posed to my house. Of course, when the subcontractor comes to view them, he thinks they’re fine; he’s a poor subcontractor who either doesn’t want to admit his crew messed up or is so bad at his job that he doesn’t know that he installed them wrong. But, from Tesla’s report, he installed them improperly, using the wrong types of screws, flashing and wiring. All of this needs to be removed, and patched, so that it doesn’t cause leaking when the panels are finally installed correctly. However, even though it was their poor workmanship, they refuse to patch my roof so that my solar panels can be reinstalled. Instead, I will be forced to pay someone else to fix their mistakes.

Every step of the process was done with excellence. I want to share how impressed I was with the leader of the team who came down off the roof to help me carry my things to the car just to be polite as a gentleman. That extra effort was not necessary but showed a lot about the character of the people hired but Palafox. Thanks, y'all!

Extremely courteous and informative employee explained everything perfectly. Performed their job perfectly and offered up suggestions about the roof without being pushy or trying to upsell. Always professional.

They did an inspection but I didn't get any repairs done because it was in too bad of shape. They were here 2 years ago. There were no additional costs. They never followed up.

Called company after paying for service, was told by the lady that answered the phone on February 17, 2016 that the deal expired at the end of January. But she would see if they would honor it. The lady told me she would call me back but never did. I called Angie's List back only to find out that what I was told by PalaFox Roofing was not true. They in fact still had the deal going with Angie's list and should have honored the deal I purchased. When a company show's you who they are up front believe it. Lack of follow up, not honoring deals, that is a RED FLAG. Beware!!

It was very good. They were excellent.

After paying for a deal coupon for a roofing repair on Sep 9, asked for contact by phone and service date between Sep 10 and Sep 15. Guess what, nothing. They did not call me about the deal purchase, and they have yet to show up. I asked for a partial return of the charge to my credit card. Now I need to get a total refund as they have no intention of doing any work here. If they do not provide service to south Arlington, there should have been something completely apparent in their deal to let people know that. I would never trust these folks to buy anything from them again, and I would recommend that others do the same.

I paid $94 for a roof inspection and (estimate if replacement was needed )for a house I had a contract to buy. I wanted to get the report ASAP before my option period ended. They inspected the roof shortly after I called, but took nearly 2 days to provide me with the report and estimate. If time is a critical factor, you may want to consider a different company.

Excellent! I highly recommend using these guys in the Las Colinas area. They got back to me right away, they quoted me a super great price, and they were out the next day measuring for materials. Then they came back the day after for all the installation work. I can home from work, and it was all completed. Super easy to work with. It looks great. I definitely plan on using them for other roofing/gutter work for my home renovation.

Came to my house and gave me an estimate, didn’t do any work. Said that my kind of roof was not covered (didn't say why). I could have had any company come and do an estimate for free. I would like a refund.

Eddie was great to work with. I was concerned about a specific section of my roof and he fixed the problem with no addional charge.

That was okay and it took them 30 minutes to finish the job. They were trying to get me to put a new roof.

Concerned about a leak in my metal roof, I called Palafax Roofing on a Friday and they came out on Saturday morning. Eddie went into the attic and up on the roof. He saw that caulking was needed around the chimney and flashing which he did on the spot. He was very professional. He told me what to look for in the next rain and to call him back if I still had a problem and he will bring out a crew, pinpoint the leak and get it fixed. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them.

They did a great job - they were on time, quick and thorough. They gave us a checklist of what all they did that included items they think we should address.

He came out and looked at my roof for 15 min, came down and said that the job was going to be about $250.00. He was not up there for 15 minutes, said the roof would need to be replace not just fixed, he said he would draw me a up a estimate and it took a about two days, and the estimate was not the same on what he quoted me, so I emailed him back, no reply for a while, so I go to the his place of employment and it is vacant, I could the number and the woman on the phone gave me the same address. The guy named Eddie, emailed me again, and then gave me a third different estimate. It has been a a while and now no answer again.

He was prompt and quickly did the work that was needed.

Palafox Roofing Systems had a young gentlemen come out to our home. When he arrived he was not prepared, seemed to be scared of our roof. I discussed with gentleman to please inspect our roof by sections and provide us with all the repairs we will need. After the inspection was complete, he left and never gave me any further information, I have not heard from this company.

We were so pleased with the work done by David and his team on our windows, that we asked him back to repair the wood on the outside of our home. We have lived in our home for 14 years and it now needed some updating. David's team replaced all of the worn down, warped and broken wood and then put on a fresh new coat of paint. I was surprised at how quickly they completed the job! The crew was very professional and did an outstanding job. They even gave me advice on how to fix another paint problem I have on the inside of the house. I would highly recommend Palafox Roofing and am looking forward to having them back on our next project.

Over the years, our son and his friends had cracked and broken windows of the house in the backyard. We finally decided that we needed to replace the windows and were in hopes that it could also help with our energy costs. David Palafox recommended using a low E vinyl window. Immediately I felt the difference. Not only does the main living area feel cooler, but the windows look great too!

We are very pleased with Palafox Roofing. They explained clearly what we were to expect. They ensured that we understood the entire process of removing the old roofing and laying down the new. They looked around the house and the attic and crawl spaces to see if there were any cables, air conditioning ducts, etc. that would be damaged by the job. They advised that we remove pictures and paintings from the walls as the vibrations from the roof work could cause some of them to fall from the walls. The install went very well and they carefully clean up the debris and had a magnet device to find fallen nails. After the installation they did a survey of the property and found a couple of areas of damage. They fixed them to our satisfaction. I'm writing this review two months after the intallation and we've had several strong rains. All is well. Palafox Roofing is excellent in our opinion!

The original $99 deal was done very well. The subsequent project was much more eventful. I agreed to several projects in accordance with damage found and reported to insurance. They included the following: Roof replacement; Gutter replacement; Exterior house painting; and Fence replacement. Although I can only give one grade for this review, I will actually give a grade for each project in this detail. Roof Replacement - B Very good job and oversight. Friendly and professional workers. Timely job and good cleanup. The only thing that drops the grade to B is that the price, if not covered by insurance, may be a bit high. Gutter replacement- A Details mirror the roof. Price may be high but the gutters look great and match the paint job perfectly. Exterior Painting - A This was the first project done and they were excellent. Taping was superb. Professional. Great start. Fence Replacement - D This is where it all fell apart. I share a fence with 3 neighbors. Due to this, I did an "identical" replacement and painted my side. This crew was not professional, timely, had poor cleanup, and ultimately required 3 different crews to complete the job. This was due to complaints by 2 neighbors and myself, who were unhappy with the workmanship and requested different people to "fix" the fence. It was clear that the original crew was not a professional fence building team. This was admitted by Palafox after the fact. Despite being replaced, the 2nd crew didn't fare much better. Although they tried to please everyone, it wasn't going to happen. There were too many problems to go into but the fence was finally completed. Palafox did replace my old fence with a new one with steel posts. However, the crews were not very professional, they did sloppy work and didn't clean up very well; they pickets aren't straight in may instances; they didn't remove many of the old posts. You get the idea. It's a new fence and it has steel posts but it's a job I could have done myself if I had the time and patience. And again, for the price, I expected much better. I just think that, despite having a "General Contractor" license, fence-building is not their thing. Bottom Line. If you need a roof, gutter or exterior house painting done, Palafox probably will do a great job for you. Any other house or construction work, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
