I hired the company to replace the trim around the outside of the house. The handyman walked the house and gave me a quote. I hired them and learned, once the job was ‘done’ that the inspection and work didn’t include trim at the second story because the company’s policy didn’t allow outside work above the first floor. Before knowing that, I asked the handyman to give me a quote to replace and paint all the doors in my house. After a week or so, I got a quote for door replacement and was given a phone number of a company to call to get them painted. Maybe I’m wrong, but I expected a handyman to be a jack of all trades. I did not expect to be told to hire a roofing company to get my second story trim replaced nor to hire a painter for doors the handyman would have installed.
