Grass King

This is an update to a previous review. After being a customer for a few years and watching Grass King's service and reliability continue to decline, while prices went up, I finally had enough and recently canceled my service with them. They started out fine, then stopped showing up on a reliable basis, broke numerous items on my property, destroyed more turf than I want to think about by grinding the grass down to stubs with the weed-eater and constantly mowed the yard at such a high level that they barely took any growth off it even though I called/emailed them numerous times about these problems.

The lawn was okay. The problem was leaving items in the yard and damaging my gate.

No problems at all with the routine lawn maintenance. There was a bit of a time delay in scheduling some much needed maintenance of the front flower beds, but once the guys arrived, they did a great job of cleaning out the beds, trimming the shrubs, and mulching. I am happy with the service and will continue to use them. My mistake was in failing to request bed maintenance from the very beginning, but I'm correcting that and have already requested a price quote for the additional regular service.

They come every Monday, I have them on a regular service. They are pretty good. I do ask them to do weed eating in a certain area if they don't normally do it. They are quick and dirty. I have had to call them back a few times when they miss a patch of yard but they are responsive when I call them. I think they are adequate. I am happy with the price. They are always here on Mondays unless bad weather and they notify me. The office is nice when I call. They always come when they say they will, overall if I ask them to do something they always will. If children play and they have the soccer net out they will not move it even an inch. So I move all of that. I think they are trained not to bother peoples stuff, not complaining about that.

Moving into our new home, I quickly realized my yards needed some TLC. After searching Angie's List I came upon Grass Kings. They had an excellent (and well-deserved) rating, seemed affordable and provided the basic services I needed. The signup process was super easy- you can do everything online. Type in your address, receive the estimates for weekly or bi-weekly mow service, select which option you prefer and enter your payment information. Within a business day I had heard back from GK and was "assigned" my weekly day for mow service, easy! The GK teams do a super job on the yards- trimming, edging, and mowing to the perfect length. I also had my bushes trimmed, and they look excellent as well. The communication is really great from GK- there was a rain delay in the week and the owner was sure to keep in touch with all impacted customers. I knew exactly when my yards would be cared for. I would recommend Grass Kings to anyone looking for affordable, quality mow service.

Grass king's service professionals are fantastic.  They do an outstanding job at a very reasonable price.  They stay in great contact with us.  We are moving to another house in the Keller area and have already hired them to take care of our lawn at the new place.

They set up a service day of the week and they mow my front and back yards. They also edge and blow away all the trimmings. The work is done well and not sloppy.
My house is approx 1300 sqft and the lot size is approx 5250 sqft, and they charge me $28 plus tax every two weeks. I was hoping for something slightly cheaper, but I have searched and found this to be a reasonable price for the service in the area.
They are very punctual and will always email you if there is a reason (bad weather, short-staffed, etc.) they need to come on a different day. Their billing has different choices and is very professional and easy.
I have had zero issues with this company.

I used their service for more than 6 months. Quality of service was always an issue. The mowing always left my lawn looking uneven. It looked as though the mower blades were dull, and there would be random sprigs of grass sticking up throughout my yard. I mentioned this to Kris a couple of times. I also had issues getting the flower beds cleaned on a regular basis. Initially that may have been a lack of clear communication but no excuses after that. When they did this the workers simply used a weed eater to clean weeds in the beds, so within 2 weeks weeds would be back. I have cancelled all services with Grass King.
