They came out one day around may- June Juan the tech said he could not do anything that the pool was to green and had to be drained. Well I canceled drainage services for the pool, After that I thought they would stop showing up. They did but I continue to get monthly invoices, I asked the owner Carlos to review and remove this invoices since no one has been cleaning my pool, I have been doing it and my friend and my brother. I also have been buying my own pool chemicals. Of course I am not and expert pool tech. So my pool does not look it’s best. The owner Carlos said well out trucks have gps, I said well the gps does prove they get off and do the job, you you’d have more control on your staff, and get before and after pictures with a time stamp. Well again he did not say anything Next month comes I get another invoice for work un done, I am not paying for services that I am not getting. Good thing I just recently installed cameras and his techs noticed and oh wow they even desired to text me to let me know they where there since 3months. Well y’all should see my pool. Not cleaned and it’s been less than a week. Do not trust this company. Thief’s. I work in a gc/ carpet cleaning ect. I mange my crews yes we have gps that does not warranty they did the job, I always have take before and after pictures, and after I talk to the costumer to make sure the job was what they expected. People this is for everyone please if you hire this company Make sure you have cameras outside. I would also recommend you to go test your own pool after they clean it. Because they are not doing the job. They are just charging. I seriously wouldn’t have. Problem paying for a job they did, but this is just stealing people’s hard earned money. I do not recommend Carlos the owner, lady reception, Juan, Robert, Craig. Hire someone else.
Response from Diamond Pools Inc
"Thank you so much for the review and we appreciate your honest opinion. As I said your pool has black algae and it needs to be heavily treated and brushed daily to get rid of it...as you can see by the pictures the water and the pool look good except for the heavy black algae. Otherwise our hands are tied. Yes my techs have been there every week for two months and you can see that on the service record we leave at the equipment, but after I asked you to look at it I hadn't heard back from you. We are an honest, professional company and we do everything with ethics and integrity. If we did work as you say, we probably would not be in business."

The repair guy showed up unannounced, even though I specifically said I wanted to be there when he arrived, so immediately got a bad taste. They tried to charge me $290. I ended up paying $240 for them to change the pilot igniter. An easy task that shouldn't cost but a hundred bucks. They overcharge, playing on the ignorance of homeowners. I contested the ridiculous price, and he gave me a "mercy" $48 off. And it's a part that was changed 6 months ago too. The heater worked for like 3 days and went kaput again. I asked for a refund on the igniter and he ignored my request. I will never speak to this company again.
Response from Diamond Pools Inc
"Mr. [Member Name Removed] we really appreciate your feedback and understand your frustrations...we are also consumers so we understand and treat our customers how we would expect to be treated. Please don't forget the fact that you had a previous pool company replace the same sensor six months back and you did not tell us that until after we made the repair... once you discovered that the company would have replaced it under warranty you asked us for a refund...unfortunately we cannot warranty someone else's work or parts especially after we have already installed the part. Your frustration about that sensor failing should be with that company not us. As we had explained to you previously, my tech noticed the sensor was corroded and did not look new. We made three different visits to work on your heater to make sure it was properly diagnosed and working for you...the $290 fee included the tax and labor so the part alone was not $290. We did give you a discount because of the circumstances and you gladly accepted it...so saying that we ignored your request is simply not true. We hope you enjoy your heater and best wishes to you."

After dealing with endless sub-par pool providers, Diamond Pools was not only able to make my pool sparkle again but have been nothing but professional and efficient. You owe it to the safety and health of your family. My pool was always hazy, over chlorinated and not suitable for swimming after spending a huge amount of $ with other providers. Carlos is professional, detailed and knowledgeable. Andrew, our technician is amazing. Sadly selling my home but HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family owned business!

Carlos & his guys have always been very professional and have done an excellent job. We have an older pop-up type system. his techs have made it work beautifully. When we purchased the home, the pool was kinda rough, so we had them re-surface & it turned out wonderful!! I use a pool cover in the fall, winter & spring due to large trees. They charge me less during those months & regularly come out to check the chemicals, They also install & remove the cover as soon as i am ready. We are selling the home soon and I will strongly recommend that the new owners continue with their service.

Difficult company to deal with from Day 1. Unauthorized charges for "additional" salt and filter cleaning. Zero communication on these charges and zero interest from the owner to discuss other than plenty of the "just pay me" attitude. We are the easiest customer to deal with and Diamond Pools lost us in 2 months. I had valve settings wrong, the skirt was missing from the creepy crawler.. plus unauthorized charges. Strike 4 - Count me out. Ridiculous company- don't even think about using Diamond Pools. Customer service and owner integrity do not exist.
Response from Diamond Pools Inc
"When this customer called for a service quote, we explained our different service levels and costs associated and he agreed to start the service. This customer refused to pay for anything...wouldn't pay for the 3 months of service, and refused to pay for a filter cleaning and a cleaner repair. Finally after year and half of discussions we came to an agreement."

I had purchased the salt unit with the intention of installing it myself, but I was unable to uncouple the piping (the original installer had not followed the product instructions and had screwed it too tightly). Previously, I called two other pool-service companies, but they refused to install equipment that I had bought (they preferred getting the materials mark-up to gaining a new customer, apparently). Diamond did a good job and in a relatively short turnaround time.

Guys finished within estimated time. Reps responded to inquiries via text and voice. There were a few areas where the guys weren't as thorough that I hope doesn't become a concern in the future. But they were definitely priced competitively, compared to a few other bids I received.

Very well, most responsive company and very informative. Went the extra mile to show up, walk me thru the intricacies of owning a pool (my first) and provided excellent follow-up responses.

They have been a pleasure to deal with. Our system has been exhibiting a fair number of technical failures over the past two years, and, Diamond Pools has been as good as you could ask for in getting things fixed. Personally, I am not sure I ever want to own a pool/spa again. We are part time residents here in Texas, so, my frustration with the system is probably more tied to lack of enjoying it more regularly.

This Job went Great. Carlos is Surprisingly quick on messages and worked me into the schedule on the Weekend. His Estimate was right on. The Individual Tech (Cory) that did the work was Terrific. He was all Professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Pool filter works great. Must admit I was a bit surprised when he came up to the door and I was guessing he had a question to ask, Instead, he told me he was done. Took time to show me how the Filter worked and what to look for on the pressure Gauge, to know when it was time to backwash. I was dreading this install but Diamond Pools made it a pleasant, Stress-Free experience. Again my Thanks to Carlos, Cory and Diamond Pools.

Initial analysis of work needed and estimate for the work were on target. They took our pool from green to prestige in fewer than estimated days. Looks as good as new. Had to make one minor equipment repair. Very pleased. Weekly service good and unintrusive.

We are so very pleased with our new pool built by Diamond Pools! It is, not to coin a phrase, Diamond Beautiful! Not only was the project competitively priced, it was personally managed daily by Mr. Carlos Pizarro, the President of Diamond Pools, Inc. We discovered that this is his management style – to personally manage each pool under construction. The project was perfect – from selection of stone and tile to making sure that our whole backyard was kept clean and all the grass and sprinklers were restored perfectly. Diamond Pools is a very professional company that created a very exciting pool and a fantastic oasis. We greatly appreciate Diamond Pools, Inc and would, and we have, recommend to anyone that wants the perfect pool!

The installer was VERY knowledgeable in pool heater installation, code requirements, etc. He did not have the exact fittings he needed, and could have easily short cut the installation using alternative fittings, but he went to get the correct fittings to install the heater correctly. The heater works great, installation is clean and professional, and the price was way less quoted by Leslie or A-Quality. I got estimates in the 3200.00-3600.00 range for heater and installation from those 2. Buying it myself online for 2100.00 and 400.00 to Diamond pools for installation saved me a fortune. It's been installed and operating great for 3 months now.

They clean my pool weekly and do an incredible job. I've used them since 2009. Any time I need equipment repair, the pricing is very competitive and they are there to fix the problem usually the same day. I have no intention of ever using anyone else,

I'll just say if you need work done on your pool look elsewhere. His service guys are great, but when it comes to coming through on his estimate and delivering, I give him an F. Once the work started our estimate went from around 13k to 26k! They said they 'found more', but his sub-contractor made the mistake of telling me they expected to find more before they even started the job! I'm sorry, but that should be included in the estimate and if not needed, then credited back later. A estimate should not double once the work gets started, especially when the numbers are in the 1000's! We were able to talk them down to around 19k, but still were far from where we started. We are newly weds and just moved into this house so what we're told is what we expect to pay. The straw that broke the camel's back for me with this company was they took the pool light off during the repair, which is fine. However when we went for a swim in the pool the light must have not been installed back correctly because there were electrical currents shocking us in the water. When I let Carlos know he acted like he could careless (said he would come out and never did), when a typical response should be, oh, I'm so sorry we'll get out there and fix it right away. He does not hold himself accountable for anything, this is just one example. We will have to pay for the light to be fixed by another company who knows what they're doing. I could go on, but really am just writing this so people can make an informed decision on who they choose to hire. He will tout his contract with Hurricane Harbor, but my guess is he just helps someone who has the actual contract. Don't listen to a word that comes out of his mouth about "They may not be the cheapest, but they'll get the job done right". BS.
Response from Diamond Pools Inc
"This is one project that we should have declined. Nice people. They wanted a full remodel, including new plaster, tile, coping, decking, and equipment. Once we pointed out the cracks in this 50 year old pool, and how much it would cost to fix them correctly, they decided to do the bare minimum. Our initial estimate was much too high for them and they wanted to pay about half. So they decided to just replace the plaster and the tile. We told them we would not re-plaster the pool without repairing the cracks properly, since we back our work and know the cracks would be a problem again if not repaired. So they negotiated the price down again and we accepted. We told them there would be some hollow areas around the cracks, but until we drain the pool we could not possibly know how bad they would be. Turns out this pool had 4 layers of plaster, mostly hollow, and a ton more cracks under the layers of plaster. Of course now the price would go up to repair everything, but we ended up doing it for half price! In the end the pool was beautiful with the new plaster and new tile, and all of the cracks properly repaired. And they got it all for half price. Then came the call-backs. Week after week, it was the coping mortar (we did not do the coping), it was the cracks in the decking (we did not do the decking), it was the equipment problems (we did not touch the equipment), we even went to install a fountain for them because they didn't know how, but we did it no charge, and we even did their pool service for three months, no charge! About the light, we only removed a screw to move the light out of the way to plaster the pool, and then secured it afterwards. They had hired another company to do their equipment because they were "much cheaper", but in doing so the company cut all of the bonding wires between the pool, light, and equipment. They did call us and we did come by to check on it, but when we tried to explain what we found, they insisted it was always that way and worked fine before. We offered to repair all of their bonding wires, at half price. We are an honest and ethical company, we do our best to help our customers, and we do this because we care very much about what we do and how we do it. We service hundreds of swimming pools weekly and remodel a hundred more. Our customers are happy, and our record reflects that."

This company is very professional and dependable. I had an issue with one of the pumps and they were able to handle it fast and for less money than Leslie's. I had a different company take care of my pool before Leslie’s (Texan Blue) and I felt they were not doing their job. My pool was dirty and they charged me for a service I did not request and never refunded my money. Their customer service took my name and number and forwarded the message. That was back in February... I'm still waiting.
