I backed into a kitchen remodel and did a much more extensive renovation than orgininally planned. The existing cabinets were level, plumb, square, sturdy, and in great working order. I thought of leaving them alone, refacing them, or replacing them altogether. I couldn't see trekking to the landfill with boxes --only to replace them with a possibly inferior product. I called HICO Construction. Their quotes for each item was right on the money for each item on my list. Bill L. is fantastic. He is professional, courteous, and has a great eye for design, helping me select the direction for glazing. Plus he kept us in stitches, lightening the mood when I became overwhelmed with the project --you know that's an easy thing to do with a kitchen remodel. Bill set the tone and the crew followed his lead. They respected my home. He even did some repair to drywall damaged during the tear out. After the first day, I started to second-guess my decision and pointed out all the things that gave me concern. Bill basically asked me to breathe and trust him. I did. By the end of the project, it was absolutely worth it. I estimate I saved approx $4,500 by keeping my cabinets and changing the look. From color selection to method used finishing the cabinets, to the crew members sent, I was delighted with every part of my dealings with HICO Construction. I am a numbers person. I research until its done. All my research for labor and materials and overall cost was right in line with what HICO charged. I will certainly use them for future projects and have already recommended them to friends.

He has been my handyman for 20+ years. I always go to him when I need work done. If it is a job he is unable to do he recommends me to other great contractors. His brother is an electrician named Ken Looney, who also does an excellent job
