This company is a fraud and a cheat. I hired them with a downpayment for half of the job and to pay for material for the fence.They said that the bank put a hold on the check for 10 days. I was told I had to wait for the check to clear before beginning work. Then I was told that I had to wait until after 7/23/2020 because the owner August Wehner had his parents in town to celebrate his birthday. I received one excuse after another. He was sick, his wife needed him to attend a doctor's appointment, worker didn't show up, etc.., When he finally showed up, he would arrive after 11:00 and as late as 3:00 p.m. He promised me the job would take 7 days and he would work from 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. He never worked more than 10 hours per week. This went on until 9/3/2020 He tore down one side of the fence and installed posts and never showed up again. I phoned and texted for a week and didn't get a response. Finally, when I asked for the supplies and I would have to fire them, I received a text that I wasn't entitled to any money, even though a tenth of the work was completed. His wife said I signed a contract which I didn't. She emailed me a page of a contract and a copy of a page of estimate quote for supplies. I signed the estimate on their ipad. When I pulled up the entire contract it is unsigned, my name is not on it, and there is no date. I told her she had committed fraud by splicing a page of an estimate side by side of a contract I never saw. He left a mess in my home and the work is shoddy! Read the reviews on his website. Three of them are poor reviews with similar complaints I have. Two are from his mother and his wife! There are six reviews totaled. Do not hire this company! I hired another fence company and the work was done in a day and a half. It cost me half of what he charged and no down payment required. It's beautiful and it's well built. Cedar wood is used. I asked if Wehner if they were bonded and they are not. No one should pay more than 15% of the quoted job.
