THE CARPET EXCHANGE

Susan and Clay are very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful throughout. She advised me that the color I was leaning to might not work well with my current color scheme and furniture and suggested several alternatives. I decided she was right and went with Mission Bay Seaside Beige, one of her suggestions, and it looks splendid! The crew that did the install were extremely courteous and professional and completed the install on time. The floor looks absolutely amazing!!

In March 2013 I hired Carpet Exchange to install tile and wood throughout the lower floor of my new home. The wood quality is outstanding and they did help me in finding the right tile (to match existing) and to pick a transition tile. Installation was OK. The
installers were late showing up and it took a little longer than expected. Additionally, there was some and quot;splashand quot; of grout on the walls I ended up having to clean up / touch up. All of that would have been OK until part of the wood started to buckle a couple of months later. I called them - they came back within a few days to evaluate (I think it was Clay). Agreed it was a manufacturers defect and assured me they would order the wood and get back to me within a few days. That was in early June. I kept calling them over and over with no response. Then I kept getting the run-around. First I was told the manufacturer
didn't sent the wood in yet. They kept telling me they would call and find out why the delay and call me back. Never did. I had to keep calling. Finally, last week (end of August), I called Clay (AGAIN) and told him to give me the supplier's name/number. He did and I called them myself. By Tuesday (yesterday), I had a call from Carpet Exchange that the box of wood was in and they could send someone out today to fix it. They are here now - so far, so good but taking WAY longer than expected - I had to cancel other plans for the morning! Will update as to how the repair goes...
Bottom line - OK for installation but don't expect them to follow through on any warranty issues you may have!

Clay has a strong knowledge of the various products and is willing to consider all options to make sure you get the best service at a reasonable price. We have had vinyl flooring and carpet installed from Carpet Exchange also with the same excellent results. My parents also have had laminate flooring installed by Carpet Exchange and were very pleased. They use only the best contractors and perform regular checks during the job to validate the progress. Clay always comes by afterward to follow up and verify you are 100% satisfied.

OVERALL: EXCELLENT BEYOND BELIEF! Beautiful installation and finish on hardwood floors, great installation on carpet and tile; very friendly and nice to work with, even the installers; eager to make repairs and readily stand behind their product
