I called the owner back a couple months later to schedule the work to be completed on the atrium. He advised me over the phone that he underestimated the work he quoted me and asked to come back out to take a second look. He was punctual and came out again, took more measurements and said he would get back with me with the new quote. I never heard from him again.

We called this company to come out to give us a quote on a door. They answered the phone immediately and said they'd have an estimator call to get particulars. The estimator called and told us when they'd call with the estimate. We are still waiting to hear back from them. If our job was too small or they weren't interested, it would have saved our time if they would have told us that. Now we are looking for another company. The job could have been completed by now.

The owner lives in the Katy area and frequently visited the job site. The few problem areas I noticed were readily fixed to my satisfaction. Cleanup was great. I felt that I was treated fairly and honestly.

I'm a veteran of Operation Iraqui Freedom, and I was injured a couple of years ago. The VA is paying for me to convert my house into a handicap accessible home. I had to find a contractor willing to do the job under the watch of the VA and submit to inspections. Raymond, owner of Southern Home Improvemnet and Concepts in Katy, TX, accepted this challenge and began to work on an estimate. The project manager that was supposed to head the project, quit and left town before the work could start. I spent a month trying to talk to the owner, but he kept dodging me. He had every excuse in the book, he was in and out of the hospital, his workload was too much or he just didn't know the details of the job because the other guy left without giving him the details. After 3 months of getting the run-around, I've had about as much as I can take. Do not hire this guy. He's unprofessional.

Our project was fairly simple, but it was done quickly, correctly and professional. It was broken into 2 jobs because of the internal leaking - emergency and the dormers were routine. No issues. They showed up on time and finished on time.

This roof was done prior to me moving back into my home. I was not living here for a while, and this was one of the things I needed to have done. I am very pleased with the roof. I guess they did an ok job because I have no leaks, and everything is holding up just great. I did meet the two men who installed the roof, and they seemed to be very generous and very nice. I do not believe that I would need their services again, but if I did, I would gladly hire them. I am not absolutely positive of a price, but I believe it was around $2700.

I would use them again.

Southern Home Improvement and Concepts has a wonderful owner that ensured our customer satisfaction. He made sure we were part of the entire process of getting a new roof. The workers were great. They showed up on time and made sure to pick up any debris. They did fabulous work on our roof. It turned our great and we have been totally satisfied with everything. We actually told some friends about them when they were looking to have roofing done.
