We have used soft touch for years. When we need anything moved big or small Gerald at Soft touch is who we call. He is very good at communicating with us and letting us know when he will be there and will even text when he is on his way.

TL;DR - -Soft Touch Moving Service is a top notch business. 5/5 - The crew was headed by the owner which actually made the 3 man crew a 4 man crew. This went above and beyond what was expected and made the task go more quickly. -Pricing was fair. They did start the timer when work began instead of when they left their office like other movers do. The idea of charging someone for driving through Houston traffic is a deal breaker. They charged a fair fuel fee for the long cross town move as well as for packing supplies for furniture. Both of those fees are comparable to other similar business but all of the fees together still made Soft Touch a smart choice. -Make sure to cover payment method prior to the end of the move. Through no fault of Soft Touch's I had to scramble for the cash needed as they couldn't take CC (at the time) and our checkbook was packed. On the day before the move Gerald, the owner of Soft Touch, called to verify the time and location of the move. On the day of the truck and Gerald showed up on time and ready to go. After surveying the task at hand Gerald and his team went to work quickly loading the truck with my items. During this portion of the move the team pointed out items that looked like they were damaged helping to inform me as the customer and shielding Soft Touch from any sins of the previous movers. All large items were wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap to protect them during the move. The items were loaded into the truck in a secure and well thought out manner to insure they were not damaged during transport. Once the load was complete the truck headed to the new location where it was unloaded. As the movers brought items in they were accurate in the placement of each of the marked boxes. They wrapped my front door to prevent damage as well as laid out a literal red carpet to protect my entry way floors from the hand trucks and dollies that were being used. There were no damaged items and everything was unloaded efficiently and safely. Soft Touch Movering gets my seal of approval. Having used many different movers in the past, Soft Touch is a company I would go to FIRST for a move. Gerald has his stuff together and knows how to get the job done right.

Job went with out a hitch.  They showed up on time and got rigjht to the task.  We had been dreading the move due the shape our staricase. We were glad we called Soft Touch.

I rented a U-haul truck and trailer. The experience was very good. They were very professional. I chose them based on Angie's Lists reviews. Gerald the owner himself came to the house, they were a man short. The price is probably reasonable.

I can safely say this was one of the best moving experiences I have ever had. I used Soft Touch to move my mother between elderly care facilities. They had to make 5 different stops. Gerald happily accommodated my needs. He was patient and his price was very fair. He was very careful which I appreciated. Gerald will be my first call the next time I need moving services.

The move went very well. Everything arrived unbroken and undamaged. However, it took me about a week to unpack all the kitchen boxes that the movers packed up. I then realized I was missing one cabinet's worth of dishes. I thought I checked every cabinet before we moved but, unbelievably, my husband, my realtor, the movers and I somehow didn't check that one cabinet. After contacting the new owners, I was told the dishes were still in the old house. When I contacted Gerald Hudson, the owner of Soft Touch, he was very upset that the cabinet was missed. He made arrangements to go back to my former home and he personally packed up the missed dishes. He wanted to drive them all the way to Bryan but I persuaded him to let me meet him half way. He was so responsive and called me multiple times to make arrangements to pick up the dishes and get them to me. He had already been paid in full for the move and I was so impressed how he went out of his way to make sure I got my missing dishes. He is unbelievably responsible and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to use his company again and I highly recommend Soft Touch Moving Service.

Gerald is very honest and professional. He provided tips for packing items for the short distance move and even dropped off extra boxes at no charge when we ran out. The move went very smoothly. Not one item was broken and no stratches on the furniture. (Some of our pieces are very heavy and needed to be moved up a flight of stairs.) Even after the long day, Gerald took the time to walk around the house to make sure that there was no damage to the walls or staircase. I've already recommeded Soft Touch to other friends.

Just wanted to say that these guys are very professional and personable. Our move went smoothly both times we used them, and I felt that they were very careful with many of my antique pieces of furniture. Communication was excellent, as they called when they were tied up in traffic trying to reach our home.

I called Gerald Hudson at Soft Touch Moving Service after having read extremely nice reviews about his company on Angie's List.
My request was to have a couple of pieces of furniture picked up from a shop in Spring and have them delivered to my home in Katy. He immediately indicated he could do it the very next day, and he also quoted a price for the service.
I thought the rate was very fair, and I accepted it. I had the shop owner text him the address and other contact information, and I got an email acknowledgement from Gerald the same evening that he'd take care of the work, no problem.
Exactly as promised, he was at the shop at the stated time and took care to ensure that the pieces (both very old antiques) were wrapped properly and securely. I know this because the shop owner called to update me on the status, and said the movers were there and that they'd be on their way to my home shortly, and that Gerald and his assistant, Jesse, were taking care of things really well and were being very thorough.
Gerald and Jesse showed up at my home within an hour of leaving Spring, and when I saw how the pieces had been wrapped and secured, I was quite impressed. It showed professionalism and pride.
Once they had the pieces inside the house, they moved them to precisely where we wanted them. While at it, they also helped me take down a painting and put up another piece in its place, for which, without any prompting by them or any hesitation from my side, I added $10 to the negotiated price. He certainly didn't expect it, but I felt because I'd taken his help with something I hadn't thought of before I should compensate him for it, however minor the task may have been.
My wife and I especially liked the way Gerald went about business: He's extremely pleasant, professional, and has a deeply respectful attitude towards his customer. He also takes a lot of pride and joy in his work. It's a really rewarding experience working with him because he takes the stress away from the moving process by being prompt with responding to questions or concerns, and by taking the time to explain how he packs the things he moves and how he'll unload and move it to the desired location.

The other reason why I'll recommend him to my friends is that he's just a good person all-around, and works hard to please his customers. Service is definitely one of his strongest points, which is quite rare nowadays.
My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the service, price, punctuality, and quality of the work. Gerald will be my go-to guy for all of my moving needs from here on.

I read the review and knew this was the moving company for us. My husband is disabled and he could not help me and I didn't know what company I was going to hire to move us. I'm so happy that Gerald and his crew were the ones that we choose. They wrapped all of our items even our clothes and we have lots of clothes. We have an adjustable bed and we were afraid that our bed would not work after the move. Our bed works perfect. They took the bed down and put it back up without any trouble at all.

Gerald and crew arrived on time. Worked hard. Did a decent job. No major issues. Fixed scuffs on walls when they made them (I had a narrow hallway). Polite crew. Would use again.

Gerald and his crew (Cedric and Jesse) arrived right on time and went to work. They carefully dismantled our king-sized bed, which includes a fairly large headboard, footboard and bed frame. They wrapped the the night stands, triple dresser and 6 drawer upright chest with plastic wrap to protect them. They were very careful moving the furniture into the spare room.
The day they moved the furniture back to the master bedroom, they once again arrived on time. They were extremely careful while moving the furniture back and setting it up so as not to scratch the new wood floors. They were very patient while we installed felt pads on the bottom of the furniture that we could not access while it was stored in the other room.
Gerald and his crew were extremely profession, pleasant and courteous. It was evident to us that they have a strong work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction. We will definitely use Soft Touch Moving Service again, should the need arise, and we highly recommend them to others.

If you are reading this review and were of need of GREAT MOVERS, who will treat your things better than their own, then look no further. They were the nices 3 men we ever had a chance to work with. Three guys with a huge heart and the care and pride they took were unbelievable. They wrapped every item with shrink wrap then blankets and tape holding the blankets. My china cabinets and tvs were also wrapped with boxes then shrink wrapped and blankets taped around them. NOTHING was broken or cratched. They worked in a very timely maner assuring us everything would be taken care of with care. And it was.! They started at 8am in the morning and finshed unloading and putting everything back in order in our new house at 8pm. They stopped long enough to take a drink of water then back to work. Truly these men were the nicest and most caring I have ever met. I would advise anyone to call and set up their move with them. You would not be dissapointed!

Gerald showed up earlier than promised he and his 2 assistants were extremely professional rolling out the Red Carpet literally. He did a initial walk through to confirm items then proceeded to wrap every item in plastic making sure to pay attention to detail. he communicated though every step of the process and when it came to moving my 800lb safe took the greatest of care to make sure that it was handled correctly. When he was done he did another walk through then followed me to the storage. He took his time organizing all items to make sure that everything would fit and it was close nothing was damaged he finished earlier than estimated and the invoice was less than originally quoted. Gerald and his assistant arrived on time and carefully wrapped each piece. They cleaned up as they went, left no mess or trash and moved very quickly. The finished the entire job in about 3 hours. I was impressed by how efficiently and carefully they worked. I'll definitely use them again.

Gerald and his crew came recommended from Storit!, located in Cinco Ranch. A crew of 3 arrived on time and ready to work. We put them to work unloading a truck containing a small 2 bedroom house and then had them go to the storage facility to move and unload the rest of our furniture and belongings we had in storage( it was quite a bit). This was a big job and they did a great job. They worked efficiently and had the best attitude while doing it. Moving is always hard and Gerald and his crew made it easier! Thanks!
