The installers we two hard working men. The owner was not. He was misleading and for someone who has "decades" of experience made several over and underestimations that cost me thousands of dollars. Trash (4' high by 8' long) was piled up in front flower bed and Shown said he would take care of it. Never did. He required 58% deposit, even though contract says 50%. I made a bad decision. Don't do the same. Find someone who will be there for you.

I went and visited every flooring in Houston. Then on recommendation, called Shawn. He was able to beat the price, and get me the product I wanted. Floors for living were upset that I didn't go with them, and even went so far as to bad mouth Smith Quality flooring. Shawn had done my friends house, and I knew that he would do a good job. I was very happy with the install crew, and the product. Don't hesitate to use Shawn for your flooring needs. I am very happy.

This company removed tileand carpet to install LVP about 9 months ago. At the end of the project, they assured us that the floating floor installation would settle over time - which aligned with articles we read. Since then, it has become clear that our subfloor IS NOT FLAT. As we walk around in our kitchen, we can feel hard and soft spots as the planks flex below our feet. THEY GAVE US A LUMPY KITCHEN! There are low spots in the master bedroom and office. My other complaints are: 1) The flooring material requires installation on a subfloor that is flat to as a condition of the warrantee. Because my subfloor is not flat, I have no warantee on the material (should have been lifetime). 2) The labor is guranteed by Shawn for a year but he was short with us when we called about the issues at 9 months. 3) Installation lead, Angel, was not on site most of the time because he works side jobs. 4) Left a mess on my front patio which could have been prevented simply by using a tarp.

Couldn’t have gone better. We called Shawn earlier this week and we’re able to get our kitchen/laundry room/pantry wood floors refinished yesterday and today. The floors are finished and the furniture and appliances are all back in place and the floors could not look better. They are beautiful! The whole process was as painless as could be. Highly recommend this company!!!

Good workmanship, Poor Service! The quality of the work was excellent EXCEPT there was a spot right near the front door that was discolored. Owner Shawn Smith tried to tell me it was water damage, but there was no water damage there previously and I had even seen the sanded floor two days earlier and it was perfect. I think the crew accidentally spilled another stain and it was too late to clean up. I tried to contact Shawn to get it repaired, but he never responded. I am now trying to sell my home with a very obvious defect in the flooring right as you walk in the front door.
