After the hailstorm occurred, a large number of roofing contracts came through the area offering free inspections. I did not accept any inspections without researching them on Angie's List or the BBB. I had time to research roofing materials and their warranties while waiting for my insurance adjuster's appointment to inspect the roof. I also had an opportunity to watch them replace my next door neighbor's roof and compare it with the work being done by several other contractors on other neighbors homes. The week before the adjuster's appointment I called Quick Roofing, and requested that they inspect my roof. They inspected not just the roof but the entire house for hail damage. Their rep was also present when the insurance adjuster did his inspection. We selected shingles from Owens-Corning that are not normally supplied in their region where our home is located. They were going to be special order with a longer lead time. To our surprise, the materials were delivered in less than half the time quoted. This was due to Quick Roofing's status as the largest Owens-Corning installer in the region. Our house was assigned to one of their more experienced crews. The entire job took less than 3 days. Once the roof had been replaced, a crew came to do the rain gutter work. That was completed in less than a day. We then had a delay on the window beading due to a material cost conflict between the contractor's supplier and our insurance company, and it's availability. We ended up selecting a different method for replacing the damaged beading. When we finally had some rain of any significance, we found a leak that damaged the ceiling of our living room. When I notified Quick Roofing of the problem, their rep came to check it on that Sunday afternoon. He arranged for the roof, and interior damage to be repaired that same week. All that work was completed in 2 days at no additional charge.. We would use Quick Roofing again, if our roof ever needs replacement due to storm damage.
