The actual work done is very good. David Chaney (owner) and his crew were polite and professional when on the job. The quotes were obtained in mid-May. The job was supposed to started on 6/11/2012. Mr. Chaney called two days before the start date to say his current job was taking longer than expected. The crew showed up on 6/12 but didn't have the equipment needed. They returned 6/14 and started work. The next week's work was delayed because the windows hadn't come in. Once the windows came in, they were the right type but not the color I had requested. This really irritated me because I took Mr. Chaney out and showed him the color of the existing frames on the windows and asked that it be matched as closely as possible. They were dark brown and the new ones were and quot;tanand quot; (about the color of khaki twill). I wanted it to blend in with the dark trim we chose. Mr. Chaney was willing to reorder but it would delay the project by two more week. We were leaving the next day on vacation and my husband was okay with the color so we gave them the go ahead to finish while we were gone.
When we returned on June 29th, the work was not quite done. Rain storms prevented the painting from being completed. The project was completed on July 1st. The crew came out to repaint one board that wouldn't take the paint because of the rain.
The main reason I would not hire them again is Mr. Chaney about drove me nuts with his need to describe every detail of the work and assure me in four hundred ways that he was extremely honest and that his crew as trustworthy and his standards were the highest. I am not a patient person, especially in business matters. If being extremely talkative is not a problem for you, hire the man. The work is good and the price is fair.
