MTZ Professional Tree Service 

For all prospective folks who want to patronize here - beware of MTZ PROFESSIONAL TREE SERVICE LLC which we found on Google, Nextdoor and Thumbtack. An Angel Martinez came to our home and removed a tree; supposedly bought a new one to grow which never grew since May. It was being watered and cared for regularly!. For months, the phone number used for the transaction did not go through and there was no response. Beware of MTZ PROFESSIONAL TREE SERVICE LLC. If the owner wants to resolve this - they need to reach out to us not ignore us. We sent them photos of our $745 tree transaction and up to now crickets. We have to pay for a whole new tree because of poor workmanship.

They did a really good job been wanting my trees removed they came and removed them very affordable it was nice really fast l.

Everything Deborah B. said in her review about this company is true. Jesus and Angel Martinez are Crooks. I am also taking them to small claims court and I will contact the state to revoke their license (that's if these crooks even have one). They cut a small tree and took a week after to remove the stump and they still have more stumps remaining (I have pictures to prove it). That's just the beginning, I hired them to doing a 160sqft walkway and grade a backyard and put down 2-3 yards of black star gravel. They only put down 1 yard and they tried laying down the pavement on saggy uncompacted ground and so I fired them. They took half of the money because Jesus begged me to give him more money because his mother "isn't doing well," so I felt sorry for him because we're all humans and now I'm left holding the bag. His brother, Angel, promised to compete the work the next they after I threatened to sue them and three days later he was still making up stories about accident/emergencies happening on his other worksites. If you are considering these guys please don't and don't fall for these scam stories. Don't do business with these crooks, there are lots of hard working people out there so hire them instead.

Hard working people easy to work with really on top of everything

No shows, late, no calls. Showed 4 hrs late did part of work. Took 5 more no show appt to finally get it done. 4 hours late again but finally finished. We were heading to small claims court. Worst company to do business with. They sure wine and cry for payment though.

Angel and his sales staff agreed to remove 8 trees from my Brothers home. He has cut down 2 of the 8 trees leaving debris through the yard. I have reached out to him multiple times, with him continuing to lie and say he will be there tomorrow. With 57% of the job paid for and 20-25% of the work complete I have to take legal action.

They did a great job!

This is the most unprofessional outfit that I have ever dealt with. Day 2 before the job was even finished Angel starts hounding me for money. Says he needs extra to grind a stump? I did not have a stump to grind! Evidently, this is an excuse he likes to use according to other reviews here. Late in the day, I went to check their work and they damaged my home. Angel was not going to tell me. Good thing I have before and after photos. I tried to work with him in getting the repairs completed, but he was too stupid to figure out that he was going to take a hit with an insurance claim. He wanted to have his uncle do the repairs! Now they owe me money for my repairs and his insurance will not cover damages under $5,000.00. I will be taking this to small claims court. They also lied to my tenant to try to gain access to the inside of the home. Complete and utter dishonest idiots. BEWARE.

The price was very reasonable. Come a little bit later. But workers work very professional and service is very good. After job done, they also clean up the ground very well.

Had a great experience. Fair pricing and did a great job. I will be using them for any future tree projects that I may have.

Very professional and explained everything and did all that they promised

I would prefer to speak directly with contractors, not via text with return phone numbers that will not receive text messages. I suspect this is Angi's set up. This contractor seemed way to anxious to start project immediately, even on a sunday morning. He was finally agreeable to a Monday morning appointment and was timely with starting the project. I received a call from stump removal subcontractor asking for payment. A large pile of tree debris was still piled in the front yard. Excuse: Trailer was stolen. Not my problem. Check waiting for debris to be removed.
