This is the second time I used Loyalty Plumbing. I first came across Nate & Ben from Loyalty Plumbing in November as they were contracted by Sears to install a new dishwasher I had purchased. . At the time, I also had toilet that was leaking at its base, and I debated whether to ask them to also repair it as well. But while I could not find them on Angie's List, I did find them on Yelp, and they had very good reviews. So I asked them to take a look at the toilet.
The problem with the toilet was that the wax ring did not fit securely with the toilet; another plumbing company had previously tried to fix the problem by stacking 2 wax rings in order to secure the fit, but Ben from Loyalty Plumbing diagnosed that the toilet had compressed part of the ring when it was being reinstalled, so it began leaking again. I watched Ben do an amazing job of fitting 2 wax rings over the pipe, then laying a bracket over the rings so the bracket lay flush with the tile floor, then adding another ring on top of that before carefully reinstalling the toilet over the ring. Ben's solution looked very stable and secure and made total sense! On top of that, they quoted a price less than what I paid for with the other "brand name" plumbing company.
I used Loyalty Plumbing again when I purchased a new hybrid heat pump/ electric water heater. I called them up, asked for a quote ( which again, was well below what I expected). Again, Nate & Ben picked up, delivered and did an excellent job installing my water heater.
I can attest that I have had 2 very good experiences with Loyalty Plumbing, and I'm surprised that they were not on Angies List, as they have many good reviews on Yelp. I spoke with Lily when requesting a quote and scheduling, and she was very pleasant and polite. Nate and Ben are also very friendly and polite, along with being very conscientious about not dirtying the house and cleaning up after completion.
One more thing; don't be discouraged because they are based in Waianae and might be limited to just servicing the Leeward side. I live in Hawaii Kai and they did not hesitate to deliver and install on the East side. I would definitely recommend them and use them again as well!
