Joe Courts and his crew worked diligently over about 7 weeks. There were no major concerns during the repair to our home. Joe contacted us every time potential problems arose, allowing us time to make decisions before any delays occurred. The key was staying ahead of the progress of the repairs. Picking out finishes, paint colors, tiles, granite, etc. was done ahead of the crew's work, thus creating a smooth flow in progress from one job to another. Changes were made during a couple of phases, such as the master bathroom tile, but Joe and crew added input quickly which let us maneuver through changes easily.

Joe and his crew are fantastic! Joe's quote was detailed and he understood exactly what we wanted to do in our kitchen and made some great suggestions. Please note the bid is for labor only. Supplies are separate and we purchased the majority of them ourselves. They picked up the tile and cabinets. This helped save on delivery fees.

They are all very professional. I felt comfortable with the whole crew. They put down protection over our laminate floors to keep from scratching and they clean up after themselves each day.

Joe quoted 2 weeks for the job. It took 3 because we actually had some icy freezing days here in Houston.

They put in LED pot lights and added lighting to our dark pantry. They put in an exhaust vent for our cook-top that now vents outside. All new cabinets, new granite counter-tops and sink, travertine flooring and back-splash, LED under cabinet lighting. ( which I LOVE and we use EVERY DAY!). They incorporated into the cabinetry and granite counter a kegerator for my husband. They also textured the walls and ceiling and painted.

Joe helped us design the best cabinetry layout and function for our kitchen. We had an idea, but he helped make it better with his input. He saved us money suggesting a 36and quot; cabinets over 42and quot; which is a better fit for our ceiling height.

They usually start the work day between 9-10 each day and they don't work weekends unless they are really behind.

We are totally please with the job and when we are ready to redo our master bath, we'll be calling Joe for the job.

Joe you can use us as a reference any time.

In short, the owner Joe wasted a month and a half of saying that he can do a job that he can't do We had acouple of jobs to do, a $50,000 job to build a little addition, a complete remodel of the kitchen, and tearing down a couple of walls inside the house. The owner Joe sat down with us a few times to discuss details. We spent a little over a month trying to get him to start and finally had him start on the second little project of building a fence. They did a nice fence job, but charged us more for a couple of things that he said were included but didn't mention in the initial paperwork. As a thank you for doing a good job on the fence I paid him a little extra to encourage him to start the main project. After that he completely disappeared and never answered back! At that point we contacted several other contractors, and only then we realized that Joe was just playing us along and didn't know how to do the job. We hired a different contractor and started the renovations

The cabinet company referred us to Joe Courts, the owner of Lion heart Remodeling. Joe came out to our home after business hours within 2 days of our contacting him. We explained what we wanted to do with our outdated kitchen. He e-mailed a bid for labor in 2 days. The price was much lower than we had anticipated. Joe estimated a 2 week time frame to complete the job. His crew came in about 3 weeks after we accepted his bid and began to tear out the old kitchen. All of his crew were professionals. Joe picked up the cabinets for us. At the end of each day they cleaned up the area. They did everything from electrical to plumbing to tile and painting. Joe recommended some for the granite counter tops. The project was completed within the 2 weeks. The crew also repaired plumbing leaks in our newly remodeled bath done by another contractor. They repaired drywall in another area of our home.

We are extremely proud to show off our beautiful kitchen. We have used other contractors with mixed results. The kitchen remodel was a great experience mainly due to Joe Courts and his crew. Their professional work ethic and integrity are many times lacking in today's remodeling contractors. We are planning to use Lion heart Remodeling soon to update another bath in our home.
