I returned the end of June 2015 to find my
pool dirty, with algae and the salt cell out of service. I asked Mr
Laurent to recalibrate the salt cell and he didn't even verbally
respond; he just looked at me like I was speaking gibberish. The next
week he and his son came in, worked diligently to clean the pool and
blamed its previous condition on an untrained employee. The following few weeks he came alone and spent maybe 15 minutes emptying the vacuum bag and skimmers. The filter
pressure was high and I asked for the filter to be cleaned - something I could
not do on my own as the wet filter is too large and heavy. He put off cleaning the filter for about 2 weeks. The last
service he performed for us was cleaning our diatomaceous earth filter,
except he did not add any DE to the system. I have photos of the filter
that my husband cleaned again that show no evidence of any DE. We
dismissed Mr Laurent from servicing our pool at the end of July.
We hired Mr Laurent on the basis of his good reviews on Angie's List and he is not an A rated service provider. Maybe for someone who is living in the house and supplementing with owner's maintenance, with a watchful owner, he would be an adequate provider but he did not do a good job for us as absentee landlords. It was a waste of $140/month.  I have been maintaining the pool myself but will need another service provider as we are moving again. Unfortunately in the area of pool service, I don't trust the ratings here anymore.

Awful...  He was given 2 pools on rental homes to maintain & had to let him go after a month.  One pool was clear, clean & blue & the other was a little dirty when he started.    I was left with two dirty green pools after a month.  On week four, I actually had to go hyper shock the one that was perfectly clean to prevent potential damage.  My new maintenance company has now fixed everything after 5 hours of combined work.
When I was trying to find out when he could fix the issues, communication was hard.  After he said he did work, I went over to the pools & looked, but they were still dirty (like nothing had been done).  When I asked him what he did over there, his reply was, I kid you not,  "I need a check from you"... 
On a positive note, He did do a good job removing a salt cell & replacing it with a chlorine tablet canister. (this was empty when the new company took over though)
He was paid for his services and told to no longer service the pools.

clean out the pool which was a big pond, cleaned all the junk in the pool, acid washed the pool, put chemicals, changed filters and was very responsive.  Would use him again

I called Stephen to tell him the pool is green, he came and fixed pump, the pool is clear now. I am highly appreciated his effort to maintain my pool. Thank you!

Second time I have used them and could not be happier. Prompt return calls, great service and more than fair price. I will use for all of my pool needs.

Called Laurent's Pool Service on a Friday since another service provider was not following through. Stephen came out that day to take a look. Showed up Monday morning to replace the booster pump and light fixture. His price was a bit higher than my quote from the other company but the service was worth it.

Took the day off and they were there at 8:00 on the dot. Looked at the pool, he gave a price and started right away. We have not been able to enjoy the pool this year due to yellow stain, green water etc. they emptied 18000 balloon pool in less than an hour and did acid wash and we were filling pool in 3 hours. Good guys, great priceand quot; way less than I thought it was going to be. Made sure my dogs were safe too. Pros all the way.
