They've been giving different estimates to different people. This has gone terrible. Basically what they did was go in my mail and took the check that was made out to me. I have now had to file a complaint with the US postal inspector. This is a federal offense. They got paint all over my dog and all over my love seat. When I confronted them about it they said my love seat was already in bad condition. What they did next was send an estimate to my mortgage company for the exact amount for what the insurance company did. He took the check and saw the check and used that amount to give his quote. He didn't get permits for the work with the sheet rock before doing the work. He had me sign a form and was going to fax it out with the exact amount that the insurance company paid. He is saying that I would have to spend all of that money that was given to me by my insurance company so instead of the 58 thousand he will upgrade it up to 137 thousand dollars. I didn't want those upgrades. The only upgrades that I wanted were for granite countertops. He kept trying to upsell me for different things around the home like toilet bowls. My mortgage company has now put a hold on the funds due to the situation with this company so now I am left in a hotel for the time being until this gets resolved.
