"We meet with [Member Name Removed] and agreed on a price on Demo and Full build back after her house flooded in 2016. We started the work and the first check arrived while we were working on the build back. She was not living there so we took the check to her at the motel where she was staying so that she could sign. The check was made payable to us and to her. She signed and we deposited the check and kept working. Then when the second check came we did the same thing. We took the check to her motel for her to sign. The check was made out to her and to us. Both have to sign. She wanted us to sign and give her the check so she could cash. So she took the check and fired us right then. She said we were stealing her check. Remember the check was made to us and her. We did not steal her check we did the same with the second check as we did with the first. We contacted her insurance company and they did a full investigation and despite Mrs. Pines claims/false statements we were paid in full. The dogs were left there while she was at the motel they ran around all day around the house. The dogs got paint on them from rolling in our paint that was outside not from us putting paint on them. The loveseat was in awful shape it had been in a flood and the dogs had been sleeping on it. We do not control her dogs or where they sleep. We did several other houses in her neighborhood and did not have any issues."
