When i called to schedule, I spoke to Luz who was extremely nice and helpful. Movers showed up on time and were extremely professional. They took great care when moving and covered everything nicely. The move could not have gone any smoother and I would not hesitate to use their services again.

We got them from Angie's List. They did have an offer on Angie's List and we did use that too. I did the packing and they just moved the stuff. They did it nicely; there was no problem. They were really careful and nice. They placed things at the new place wherever I told them to. I chose them over others because they gave me a good price, they seemed to be nice when talked to and there was also a nice offer online. I took an estimate from three or four companies and John D Moving were good and even their reviews on Angie's List were good. First we asked two or three people in the neighborhood who had moved and they also told us that this company is very good.

The men were right on time. They moved everything very quickly, wrapped all furniture nicely, and broke all beds /cribs down. They put everything pretty much exactly where I wanted, and were patient with me as I wondered how to arrange the couches. All the beds were put back together (slightly better than my husband even!).

I had a wonderful experience with these movers.  The weather caused a rain delay, but once the weather cleared up, these guys kicked it into high gear and moved all of my furniture with precision and care.  Everything was inspected before they put it on the truck and after they took it off the truck.  I was so appreciative of the fact that they asked me where I wanted certain items to be placed in the new residence.  It really helped me to fully unpack and enjoy my new home.

They were very careful and so good.  We've had no problems with them at all.  We've had bad experiences with movers before, but not these guys.

We had everything already boxed up. They just had to load the truck and unload into the storage facility. they were on time, handled everything carefully, and worked hard. For a small move, we had no complaints. I can't comment on their packing skills.

I called Mary upon a friend's recommendation. The friend moved from an apartment to a single family in 2007. Mary set up an appointment for a walkthrough with Diego for the same week. Diego did not show, and she later called to apologize and reschedule. When Diego arrived, I told him we needed to move the all items except a sofa, kitchen set and desk. All items were being moved to storage. I showed him the entire home including backyard, garage and attic. He warned that if I added more boxes to the garage I should call for a new estimate. Mary called the next day with an estimate of $450 dollars. I confirmed with her the items to be moved becuase I thought the price seemed particularly low. She also quoted me $220/mo. for storage they provided in a 10x20 unit. They did not have their own storage facility. I asked to have the estimate in writing and she suggested that I get storage on my own due to price. I found a storage unit and because I had added 12 more boxes to the garage, I called Mary to let her know. I confirmed the storage size with her. I had also decided to give away more furniture so another sofa and love seat would not be included. I asked her if Diego wanted to come out again to confirm the estimate. He declined. The day of the move, the 3 man crew arrived on time. About 2 hours into the move the small 18 ft truck was almost full and I confirmed the storage size with Diego as he had forgotten I was moving things into storage only. He said the space was too small and told me I needed to get an extra 5x10. I rented the extra space, but in the afternoon, Diego said that I needed still more space. Annoyed, I called Mary at the office to let her know Diego could not properly estimate the storage allowance. After speaking with Diego, she told me Diego was mislead about the amount of stuff being moved. He claimed only a few large items were to be moved, and I was now asking for the entire home to be moved. He demanded $200 more dollars to continue moving my things. I told Mary that I would only pay $100 more because I felt I had been quite clear about what was to be moved and even offerred to have them look again. After some argument she agreed. I then had to purchase MORE storage space for Diego accruing change fees all the while. Diego refused to unload the last load until he was paid and made a big deal about me having to use a credit card and getting an authorization number. Mary accepted my credit card payment by phone and stated that she would have to reprice the storage move out rate and retract the 10% discount she originally offerred upon storage move out to recoup their loss on a move that took 8 hours. 6 large boxes were left in the home and my expensive patio umbrella was left behind. They don't have to worry, I won't used them again. John D. Moving clearly should stick to small apartment moves. I would not recommend them for a move that involves more than 1500 sq. ft. or a single load 18 ft. truck.
