Tony replaced the mixing valve in the shower.

We were very happy with him. He was very responsive.

Going over final bill it was very apparent provider had a number in mind and just listed common items next to them.  Charged for multiple items that did not need to be repaired or replaced, and overcharged for items that a normal person would not consider maintenance.  Billed for paint repairs that were made prior to his arrival, also billed for light replacement that was not needed.  Charged for an  issue with a garbage disposal that he replaced less than a year prior, leading me to believe the installation was shoddy to begin with.  Also charged $50 to "reconnect garage door" which consists of pushing a lever you can reach from the ground.  All in all it was readily apparent he was interested in the money only, not in actually performing the work for a fair price.  He saw an opportunity to make a fast buck and took it.

I was satisfied with the job he did and tried to hire him for something else a month later but he kept telling me he would call back to schedule and never did, then he finally did schedule a day for me during the week so we made a point to be here but he never called or showed up... I had to call him and ask if he was coming and was told he was too busy and would have to reschedule for another day... disappointing!

Tony is a great guy to work with and I do not hesitate to recommend him and I will call him again for my next job!

He showed up when he said he would and was very polite.  I left to do errands as he completed his job.  I had no issues with leaving the house while he was there.  He cleaned up any mess he made and would hire him again.  I thought he did a good job and fair price.

I personally thought the job was not done well.... I rent several homes and this one was not done to my standards... he uses his children and really unprofessional workers to do the job but that is not how it is sold.... it is represented as a very professional crew and excellent work and even his Angies list review were good but when the rubber met the road I would say the job was done with poor effort and skill, the least was done.... I mean you almost have to hold their hand to get the job done right and I have had other contractors who you could give them a list, they could quote the job and it would be done right, professional and a job well done.
In this case, this is not THAT KIND of contractor.

Replaced wood paneling in den after pipe broke ruining wall and wood floor.Also replaced wood floor in entry way. I made the mistake of paying him before the job was finished and he never came back to complete the job. Would not return calls. Beware!!!

Although this provider was the lowest, we did not use him. He never arrived for the appointment, but rather wandered in the nest day. His bid was very good. However, when I asked him to please send me a quote, he said ok, but never did even though I called to remind him. I felt he was really irresponsible and not dependable.

Called and Tony came and gave the estimate for $100.00 to do the work. Tony came on time and checked out the work that we needed and made the appointment to complete the job.  Tony arrived on time and completed the work. He did an excellent job for a good price. I would hire him again.

Tony was prompt on time to fix plumbing issues in the house. His charges were quite reasonable. I will definitely hire him for all my future plumbing needs.

He came out and fixed it where other contractors wanted to charge me a lot of money, he put it all back together and screwed it together and fixed it in a hour.

Troy was a professional in every way. Communication was a breeze and he showed up when he said he would, quickly got to work, and finished promptly. He was a personable guy that knew his craft and was reasonably priced. I will definitely call him again for future repairs!

He arrived on time and prepared to fix our problem.  He is friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy.  I have recommended him to other and will definitely use him in the future.  I would say that he is the best that I have found on Angie's List or any service.

My son accidentally knocked out the shelf support bracket in my under stair kitchen pantry, cause one complete section of shelves to collapse, scatter all my stored grocery items to the floor.   When I put in the "Katy, Texas 77450 filter, my search results on Angie's List brought back Hutchins Home Improvement.  I called Mr. Hutchins on the off chance he could stop by that afternoon.
Mr. Hutchins had some availability and met me at my home only 3 hours after my initial frantic call.  He provided a fair estimate and showed up the following morning to complete the job.  Everything was completed satisfactory.  Mr Hutchins also created an additional shelving support for my other section of shelves.  He also replaced and painted approx. 22 ft of damaged chair mould.
I was so happy with Mr Hutchins work, I also asked him to provide a quote to replace/install 3 new toilets.  I purchased everything on-line at Home Depot and had the order pulled at the on-line order counter.  Mr Hutchins picked up my order the next day and installed all three (3) toilets that afternoon.    
Mr Hutchins provided quick service, fair quotes, arrived promptly and provided highly satisfactory work.  Mr Hutchins has a  wide and varied field of expertise...  I have found a new Handy Man for Life!!

Tony starts early - around 7:30 in the morning and works very hard. He is good about evaluating problem, explaining options and tries to repair before he replaces parts. He seemed to understand that I don't want to spend my money on things i don't need to. Tony stops by Home Depot on way into job to purchase items needed for day and gets any other unexpected items while out for lunch. He will not waste any time when working for you! His prices were very reasonable - we had lots of jobs, so he charged by the hour plus parts. His rates were less than those advertised by some handymen who will give you a day for a certain price.
He was very prompt in returning my initial phone call and was very clear about when he would arrive at my house - no waiting game. Because I was so pleased with the work he has done, we are having him do even more than originally planned. He's coming back to install a French drain next week.
I have recommended him to two very close friends already and he was at one of their houses today.
You will be very pleased with his work and will have no regrets - I bet you will decide to do more jobs, because he really is a "jack of all trades" who knows how to do a lot and his prices are reasonable! I stopped him in the Home Depot parking lot - that's how I found him - a sign on his van! Now i want to share what we learned with others - if your experiences are like mine, it is hard to find a good handyman in the Katy area. Search no more, Tony is who you want! He also works in Houston, Richmond and Sugar Land.
