Glamour Flooring

This was a great shopping experience as I went to many flooring stores around the Houston market up until I met Maynor. He was very honest and showed me samples at the store then selecting a sample to measuring all of my house and starting the following week. The job came to an end in five days installing thousand square feet of glue down hardwood flooring. The guys where courteous moving my furniture and carpet at no extra charge. I like the fact everyday before leaving they asked me if there was anything they can to prior to leaving to make my house livable. Floors look great and great people to work with. Will refer to friends and family.

We used Glamour Flooring to install over 900 sq feet of laminate flooring in our home. This also included the removal of 900 sq feet of tile. They started on a Wednesday and finished on a Friday working late every night to complete. Maynor was very responsive for any questions we had and his crew did an excellent job. Would use again and highly recommend.

The Glamour Flooring staff was wonderful. They were very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I called and Katherine invited me into the showroom. She helped me with the selection process. Maynor, the store manager, came out the same day to provide a flooring estimate at my house. Workers showed up the next day and began the work, my house looks amazing! I know I picked the right company, great workmanship, they all helped me make my home beautiful. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to remodel their homes.

They were good and did it to our satisfaction.

Ivan is a great resource person when you walk into the store. He can help you narrow your choices down, since it's like walking into a home lover's candy shop!!! Mr. Jose and his partners installed our travertine floors and grouted it, after clearing previous flooring materials. The length of the job was appropriate in terms of how much they had to do; I think people should be more realistic about their expectations knowing these people work normal hours. The first day, wood floors were removed as well as remaining carpet. Second and third day was laying the travertine in an approved pattern :) Fourth day was grouting. They came back after three days to seal it with 5 day sealer.

My experience was with tile floor installation. These are the facts:
-The job went over scheduled time frame
-The tile is uneven
-The grout lines are uneven
-Dried grout was left on top of tiles
-The cuts are not flush with the wall in several areas
The company did try to fix certain areas, but the issues still remain. I wanted a full refund for the
flooring job, but ended up getting a discount from the final bill. This was a trying experience for me
and my family.

They came highly recommended by a friend who had them do painting, granite, flooring, crown molding, also they were highly recommended by an area Realtor.
We shopped around their price was good, not the cheapest but not the most expensive, they had the flooring we wanted after looking a lot and Ivan is a really likable guy. Everything started out great but there were a few problems before the job was finished. We are in the house now and so far the floor is doing just fine. We like it and people who see it like it. When we got the carpet out of the living room we discovered that we had a bad slab the concrete was poor quality and it was an inch to two inches higher in the center than on the edges. They had to dry pack concrete on top to level the floor. The first time they did this it was horrible the concrete literally turned to dust as you walked on it. We insisted that it was not right, they insisted it could be fixed. Finally they had to rip it out and replace it all as they could not fix it. To their credit they did rip it out and replace it. If they had done the first time what they did the second time, I probably would be writing a different review.
The glue failed in the master bedroom I ended up calling the flooring manufacture because I wanted to make sure they were following the manufactures installation requirements to ensure the manufactures warranty was good. They were, however the manufacturer recommended they use a primer on the concrete and then the glue. They did follow the manufactures recommendation and so far the floor is sticking. I have several recommendations to people getting work done on their houses. Do your homework on the web so you have a good idea what they are supposed to be doing. After you select your product go back to the web and find out how the product you selected is supposed to be installed, And do not leave them home alone in your home. Watch everything they do, ask questions and take many many pictures. It took 3 weeks to get our floors done, some of that could not be helped the floor had to be leveled and that took extra time, but fighting to get the leveling job ripped out and done again took too long. For this reason alone I will not use them again but I do know that they do a lot of work in this area and seem to do a mostly good job.

We purchased around 1800 sq ft of hardwood and carpet to be installed in a newly purchased house. We shopped our prices and found Glamour to be competitive and easy to deal with. We were told one week or less for the whole project to be completed. Two weeks later, it was finally completed and looked great. Our only frustrations were that they came out to do the carpet on three separate occasions, a job that could be completed in one day, because they kept running out of material or ordering the wrong amount, despite the fact that they came out and measured all areas in the beginning. The crews were polite and worked quickly. The manager came to our house and did a walk-through at the end and fixed any details we weren't completely satisfied with. He was responsive and professional through the entire process.

Some of the work that they performed was good and some of it was not so good. I used them after I ran into them at a home show. They charged me the price that I had agreed upon so I did not have any problems with that.

Glamour Flooring's price was extremely reasonable in comparison to all the other shops we went to. The labor was extremely nice and did all the work excellently. Quality was fantastic as well, and the floors and backsplash looks awesome. The vanity counter is also great, and no longer an eyesore. We loved using Glamour Flooring and we would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I initially had some problems with this company but after talking with the owner of the company all problems were resolved and I am very happy with the out come.

We were very pleased with the price and service prior to installation. The installation took 3 days and the finished product looks great. This company is very competitive and obviuosly are doing a lot of business. The installation crew worked at an extremel;y fast pace. It is apparent that they are pressured to finish quickly. We had an issue during installation that the owner Alex resolved quickly. We appreciated his prompt action. Unfortunately now, 5 weeks later we still have an unresolved issue. After installation we noticed 3 pieces of t mold that needed to be replaced. 1 pc had staples sticking up 1/4and quot;. This was discovered when my wife cut her toe on it. The 2nd price was scrap wood that tapered down from 11/2and quot; to 3/4and quot; at the wall. The 3rd piece was cracked in the middle. We are not picky people and I feel we are very patient. I went by to see Ivan and he said they would take care of it. 3 phone calls later the installer came out when I wasn't home and installed 2 pieces of t-mold that were a different size than the other t-mold and a completely different color. I went back to the store and showed Alex pictures of the job. He promised to take care of it. Now 2 weeks and 3 phone calls later I still have no remedy. .
**UPDATE-I am happy to report that on TUE April 09 an installer came out and finished the job. The job has been completed to our satisfaction and although we had a few issues everything has been resolved and we are enjoyin our beautiful new floors. I would recommend Glamour Flooring in the future.

All work was completed within 8 days. all of the workers were prompt and very curtious.

We are completely satisfied with the service received and the work performed.

It went well overall. The floor looks good, and it is solid.
The installers did install a couple planks that should have been discarded. They show a bad mismanufactured end in our bedroom from the right angle and the plank can't be replaced without pulling the whole floor. We have several remaining boxes of good extra (waste) stock they could have used. We did not catch that ourselves until well after completion.
It was a little hard to tie them down on a start date, and the staining of the quarter round along the edges is not consistent. Also there is a missing piece of the quarter round. They made one round of work to fix these issues but in the end we just moved on with our move. I think they would have taken care of those issues if I really pressed them, but we wanted to move in quickly. I recommend when having this work done to inspect all the joints in good light after sweeping. You can catch these issues.
The home was left very dusty, but we were warned before we started about that. Cutting those planks is a very dirty activity, so even when cutting outside be prepared to change A/C filters before, during and after.
As I said we are happy, and would probably use them again. It was definitely good to have this done before moving into the house. We saved some labor costs and cleaning of the furnishings.

The only thing I disliked is that they didn't have enough flooring available to finish the job. Glamour Flooring personnel were supposed to measure and they didn't do that. So they didn't know the measurements and didn't try to confirm. And we had to wait for them to reorder but that didn't bother me.

Went to store selected samples got an estimate next day was given an estimate the same day then made my selection within two or three days i had my home ripped out gutted and one week later all was done. i felt really comfortable since the sales guy Alex knew his stuff on hardwood flooring.

They were really good and very professional. They had lots of different designs that you don’t see everywhere; like really creative designs. They give you ideas for how you might want your flooring to be. They are better priced than the average. They were actually $300 to $400 less than the other estimates that I got. They were basically trying to charge what was fair. I would use them again in future.
