Finally an honest mechanic! Very knowledgeable and gives you a straight answer. They let you know when to keep an eye on something but don't try to upsell you with services that aren't needed.

They are really close to our place and we really like them. We have been using them since 2004. They are really great. They are very responsive. In some point, I had a problem with my starter and they pick me up from a parking lot. I was actually at a parking lot and I was not able to start my car and I called them. I was pregnant with my little one and I did not know what to do. I have my AAA account, but they come within 45 minutes and I was not able to see myself waiting 45 minutes in the parking lot. They came and took the car for service and they drove me home. They do not do more work than what they needed to do for all cars. They do not change anything that is not broken. We are happy with them and with our cars.

I bought my house and I needed someone to service my car and they were really close.

This was my first visit to Cinco Car Care and I was very pleased with them. They worked me in within a couple of hours of my calling them. My car was vibrating when I braked at highway speeds and I thought I might have bad tie rods and/or ball joints. Most shops would happily replace whatever I suggested, but instead they test drove my car and told me that my front rotors were really the main problem. They replaced them the same day and gave me a free ride to my house and back while they did the work. The vibration problem is 95% solved. They said that the remaining vibration is due to the rear rotors. I chose not to replace the rear rotors yet since the vibration is very minor and I don't want to put too much money into an old car with 160,000 miles on it. Overall this was the best car repair experience I have ever had!

They did a good job but they're pretty expensive. What they charge stood out the most but I think they're overpriced. They also are professional.

Cinco Car Care are really good mechanics. They're absolutely excellent for everything. I have an old car that I love and don't want to get rid of and they keep it running for me. We've gotten a lot down there, from oil changes to major engine work. They take ownership of their work. If they work on the car and overlook something, and I tell them I'm not happy with it, they'll take it back and work on it at no cost to me until I'm happy with it. I've told a lot of people to go there. They're an old, established business that have been around for over 20 years.

Both my husband and I have our cars checked out for "road worthiness" before we head out on long driving trips.  We both had front shocks replaced.  I had my battery replaced.  Husband had the state inspection, oil change and rack and pinion steering repair.  Both cars now drive like they did when they were new.

The rates at Cinco Car Care are very reasonable. For the most part he has correctly diagnosed the issues that we have had and fixed them in a timely manner and at a reasonable rate.

The whole experience was like a breath of fresh air.  My car runs and sounds like a new car.  While he was working on the car Adam told me that one of my motor mounts had a bolt missing.  I had the mounts replaced about six moths earlier at one of the largest Acura dealerships in Houston and evidently they did an inferior job.  He got the necessary parts to fix the mount and the next time I was in for oil and filter replacement he fixed the mount problem at the same time.
One thing I really appreciated was that when I picked up the car I was shown all the parts that were replaced and the reason for their replacement.  The overall experience was just exceptional.

  I will also be using Cinco Car Care for all the maintence and repairs necessary for my wife's car in the future.

I have used Cinco Car Car for over 15 years.  They have performed about every service imaginable on our cars and trucks.  They have taken excellent care of my whole family.

They have great service. They are very honest. I first used them ten years ago. I went back to them when I moved back to this area. They are really good at explaining things to you. They inform you of any work that may need to be done in the future. They do not force services on you.

It didn't go so well. Our 1999 Mercury Cougar all of a sudden started running at half power. We first took the car to Carsport Automotive. They told me it was a Mass Airflow sensor and we needed new spark plugs and wires. So we took the car over to Cinco Car Care. They discovered that the air flow filter box was loose and all the clips were missing, so I fixed that myself (which didn't fix the problem). My wife was doing most of the running around from shop to shop with the car (it was our only vehicle at the time) and she felt really comfortable with the lady that works at the front and takes the phone calls. I forget her name but she was definitely very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process and kept in touch with us fairly well on the status of our vehicle. Anyway, long story short they first thought is was the clutch and quoted me $1500 to fix. Then they did some more diagnostics and decided it was a bad fuel pump and filter and quoted me $1100 to fix. We were new to the area, only had one car to share, and I was bumming rides to work every day... so we reluctantly agreed. I will cut to the chase... it didn't fix the problem. Still running about half power. I had just bought new tires for the durn thing and had it registered in Texas. So I am now out the $1100 plus $500 for tires and $200 for title and registration on a car that I probably couldn't get $2000 for (AND IT WAS STILL NOT RUNNING RIGHT!). I will give the mechanic that was working on it some credit. He tried to talk me through all the problems and was doing his best. He seemed to be intelligent and was informative. After shelling out all of that cash, Cinco Car Care decided it just HAD to be a problem with the catalytic converter. At this point, everything they were telling me seemed plausible and I didn't have much of an option except to agree with them. They assured me that was the only possible explanation/thing left that could be wrong. Their quote for a new Catalytic Converter was $1500!!! I couldn't believe it. So I paid my tab, stormed out, drove straight over to Katy Exhaust Pros, and ordered them to put a new Catalytic Converter in.... which they did for a much more pleasant $480. But of course the problem wasn't fixed. So, not even realizing at the time that Katy Exhaust Pros did general automotive repair, I started explaining the whole story. They promptly agreed to diagnose the problem for free and not charge me a dime until it was fixed. It ended up being a slipped timing belt!!!!! Can you believe it? You can read my review of them (Katy Exhaust Pros) on this site as well. Despite being very personable and professional, the bottom line is Cinco Car Care is WAY Overpriced. Especially if you pay them over a thousand dollars and they don't fix the problem.

They provide good service, and I will continue to use them in the future.
