Carroll Services

Unless Al is involved, I wouldn't waste your time calling these people much less waste your money having them do sub-par work.
I have seen Al Carroll doing work in the neighborhood for years. The work he did looked great. When we were getting ready to sell our home, I called Carroll Services to see about getting some rotted wood replaced. Al's wife was the one I spoke with. She and her son came out to do the quote. I asked where Al was and was told he was on an extended vacation.
They looked everything over and gave me a quote. I agreed and set a date to do the work.
I purchased all the materials, and another one of her sons showed up to do the work. He worked all day getting very little done. It was like it was his first time doing any sort of work like this. I kept noticing things they had originally agreed to do that weren't done. When I asked about them, I was told that it would be extra because those things weren't on the original agreement.
They replaced some of the rotted wood, painted it, but did not caulk it. I finally told them to finish up, pack up their things and leave.
I finished the rest of the work myself in 1/2 the time it took them to do one small area.
It's my fault that I didn't get everything down in writing and for paying them when the work was 3/4 done. My major mistake!
Be warned of these people! Without Al, it's just an amateur hour where the only thing humorous is their quality of work and prices!

Al is a consummate professional. It was interesting watching him paint. I do color consulting and have been curious on how to do some painting techniques. He explained and showed me how to do them. However, I will just recommend him to do the job. I did some practice but he's much better at it then me!

We live in Katy TX. I know many people in Pin Oak subdivision use Al including our home owners association when they have work to be done: like put a new sign up for the subdivison. Al repaired many, many fences for people after the hurricane.Al does great work. I think he prefers working in the Katy area. You won't go wrong with Al. The cost box above is limiting because we have spent 300 to 2500 for the work Al does.
