Callen Roofing replaced my roof in 2019. They did an excellent job. They answered all my questions prior to starting. Helped me pick the type and color shingle. Explained additional items to include to allow manufacturer to provide a 50 yr tansferable warranty on the shingles. The job was done on schedule, they cleaned up at the end, and did not request any payment until after completion and final inspection by Mr Floyd himself. I highly recommend them.

Other "storm chasing" roofers told me earlier that my roof should be replaced. However, Floyd Callen (and my insurance adjuster) told me it was fine. Following another recent hail storm I knew Callen was the only roofer that would give me an honest assessment. It was now time to replace the roof and Callen did a great job. Highly recommend them.

Just fine - no problems encountered

Very well, done in 2 days after work date was locked down. No money paid until owner came by to inspect work done. He answered all my questions about some minor details which were clarified satisfactorily. Very honest and up front throughout. Out of 3 bids, he was the only one who actually got on the roof to assess and bid on the job. He also went back up on the roof to do the final inspection after the work was completed. Would highly recommend!

Repairs were done in a timely and thorough manner. Very happy with the results.

Work completed with no problems. Was on time & called 30 minutes before arriving. Very professional & just a nice guy (Tommy). Did have to wait awhile before actual appointment. It was a very busy time. Callen was recommended by a friend. Glad I called & went with them!

Showed up early Day 1 and protected the house during a brief rainstorm. Completed ll the work by 2pm Day 2 and cleaned up completely. You would not know anyone was there.

Tommy Davis came out and explained the Certainteed roofing system that Callen uses.  I had already checked the quality of the system via the web and Consumer Reports, and decided that it was the best moderately priced/slightly upgraded system for our home.  Mr. Davis measured the roof and provided a bid within 20 minutes after our discussion.  The bid was in line with my expectations (based on research), so we accepted.  Mr. Davis dropped sample shingles off within the next few days for me to select a color.  We did everything else electronically.  Mr. Davis and the Callen Roofing brochure was amazingly professional---I was much impressed.  Roof materials were delivered to our home within the next few days.  Our roof work, however, was delayed about a week by Houston's typical rainy spring weather.  Finally on a Friday, the clouds broken and a sunny day allowed roof to commence from about 7:30AM until 5P--almost non-stop.  The crew was also incredibly professional.  A few days later another crew came out and spent about 2 1/2 hours installing the soffit vents.  The look is superb and so far no leaks or other problems (despite much rain since they finished the job).  I am happy with one exception---NAILS--especially in the DRIVEWAY(?!?!?).  My husband and I picked up 4-5 dozen nails all around the house.  Mr. Davis told me I should have called right away to have the guys come back out with the magnet.  Oh well.........

They did a good job and the roof looks good. They weren't the cheapest but have confidence they will be around in the future should I need anything with the warranty. Also did a good job with cleanup.

They are a reliable company and they do very good work. They are very honest in their valuation and pricing. If you use them you don't have to worry about quality.

I recommended them to my friend. Their prices are very reasonable and I have had no problems with them at all. They have been very good with scheduling and they have been very responsive. I have been a customer with them since 2008.

Tommy Davis called ahead as promised and arrived right on time. I thought I had a problem with a leaking ridge vent. He checked it out and said I had no issues. He also checked the rest of my roof and said I had no issues. He was here about 20 minutes and did not charge me anything. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use them again. It is always great to find good and honest service providers.

Chosen after reviews with 3 other companies. I would call them again first for evaluations next time.

The work crew arrived early and went to work immediately. Plastic was laid around the perimeter of my house so that very little debris was ever on the grass. Roof was completely installed and yard was cleaned up in ONE day. Metal detector was passed over the yard and so far no reports of flat tires from me or either neighbor. Shingles were hand nailed which according to some other roofing companies is the only way to install a roof successfully.

Tommy came out to fix some issues that should have been addressed by the original roofer under warranty. He fixed the AC flashing and attempted to fix the chimney flashing. If laying down some additional caulk doesn't do it he will need to rip the flashing off and build a cricket to fix the issue. Very honest - didn't try to oversell out of the gate.
Super Service award for these guys. They have my business for life based on being honest upstanding folks.
