Another great visit from Ashford Air! Another contractor accidentally punctured the line set for our two A/C units while installing siding on our house, and all the freon leaked out. After dealing with another A/C company that tried to sell us two complete systems (at a quote of $10,000), we called Ashford Air. It did take a bit of time to hear back from them after leaving some voicemails, apparently due to the large amount of work they had. Still, they came through for us. Once Vaughn arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem, brazed the copper lines, installed a dryer in each line, and pressure tested the system. With the system holding pressure, he recharged it with freon (the major part of the costliness of this repair), confirmed that everything was working properly, and installed some insulation around the lines. Their charge to us for the R-22 freon was $60/lb, which is toward the bottom end of the going rate for freon right now (it's been phased out in favor of the R410 in the newer systems).

All in all, we're quite happy with their work and highly recommend this company. We call on them for our regular maintenance and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

One of my units was not performing adequately. The service technician tested the system, observed that it was slightly low on freon, and corrected the problem. I have used this company and its predecessor for many years and had over 30 yrs of nothing but positive experiences with its previous owner (to the extent that having one's a/c replaced can be a postitive experience). I did not specifically compare prices with alternatives for this service.

He always done a good job. I didn't price it because I knew he did a good job. I know someone else may have been cheaper, but, I believe in him. He always there when I call him. He is very professional.
