After getting 5 different electrical estimates I ended up choosing Aim High Electric because they were the only electrical estimate that offered to install my new awning breaker line through my attic instead of around my house from the garage breaker box. In the end this led to less electrical line on the exterior and will allow them to come back out and patch into the breaker to power my awning electrical. Yeah I liked their services so much I'm calling them back out in about a month for more work. Jim is the owner and he does electrical by code which is great and will listen to your ideas to give you the best by the book solution that will be the safest option as well. Many of the electrical estimates by awning companies were handymen that would just tap into my existing porch light line. Luckily Jim explained how in the long run it could lead to constant breaker trips and some fixtures not working because there was too much demand on the circuit. Now I feel safe plugging in my new ceiling fans, lights, and maybe some electrical heaters on my patio in the winter. I can do this because I have an entire breaker added now just for my new zone. Another reason I like Aim High Electric is they are problem solvers. I really wanted my floodlight on the middle of my garage because it would look better and the lights would provide better lighting. The electricians noticed an issue when trying to complete my Floodlight install because my main garage support beam was in the way of their center electrical line install and drilling into that is not recommended or safe. They brain stormed though and found another way to install the floodlight using a bell box and coming in from the soffit ceiling above. The light looks and functions great. My last praise would be the quality of their work. The conduit lines that were run on my exterior are works of art. The hug my siding great and do not standout as an eyesore. When they are painted they will look even better. If you are looking for an electrician that can take on tough jobs and do them right Aim High Electric is the company for you. They even provide free estimates so why not give them a call?

First, let me preface this that Aim High was assigned as the contractor by American Home Shield.
Jim from Aim High Electric showed up in a timely manner. He listened to me describe the problem with the open neutral and within a short time, he had located and fixed the problem. He was knowlegdeable, professional, and friendly. I plan on using him for non-warranty work as well when needed.

Jim arrived at the time expected and had the parts necessary to complete the job. He was friendly and completed the work quickly.  I am not sure the total cost of service. I paid my $75 co-payment and any additional was covered by my home warranty plan.

We arranged for service through the home warranty company and they chose the contractor, Aim High. The appointment was originally set for Thursday, but they begged off till Friday. Then they begged off from a morning appointment to the afternoon. (If I didn't work from home, this would have been a big headache and likely would have changed my satisfaction level quite a bit.) When the electrician arrived, he immediately went to work. He probably was in our house less than 15 minutes. When he was done, the doorbell worked great. Since we had paid through the home warranty, there was no extra fee for this service.

When he arrived at our house, he immediately handed me a business card to identify himself. He was neat and professional. (THAT SAID, I prefer these types of contractors to be in some type of shirt or uniform that goes with the territory and to have their vehicle marked with at least a sign showing who they are with. This gentleman was wearing "street clothes" and driving an unmarked pickup truck. This doesn't give me the warm fuzzy I'd like from a security point of view.) He did his work, was personable, answered questions and didn't dawdle. In and out in a flash and knew just what to do.

Jim arrived on time and answered questions I had about our new home and what would be cost effective to fix.  He was very professional, thorough and honest.  He told me what needed to be fixed, and what would be really expensive and not worth the money.  He did a great job and kept my pocketbook in mind.  I would highly recommend Jim to anyone and will call him again with any electrical needs.

I did use an electrician that was very good He was reasonably priced and he was very helpful. We had to call Centerpoint and have them come out and he waited until they got there He left and then I called him and he came back and it was like after hours, it was probably 7:00. He was very honest and didn't try to tell me there was more wrong than there was and he came out and gave an estimate, like a free estimate which I appreciated because everybody else was charging like $200 just to come out.

Although Jim had a full schedule, he was able to work in time to stop by to look at an issue that was causing the pool light and waterfall pump to be inoperable.  I was not able to be at the house at the time Jim arrived, so I explained (as well as I could) over the phone what the problem was, and where I thought the electrical issue was originating.  Jim was able to quickly diagnose the source of the problem, and repaired the GFCI circuit that was failing.
