SAV-ON FENCE

I called recently to make this company aware of 2 previously ignored attempts to get a bid. They seemed concerned and set up a new appointment for the owner to come and do a bid personally. That day was more than a week ago and I still have not anything. Mike and his crew installed $18,000 worth of vinyl fence 4 years ago. Apparently repairing it is a much lower priority.

Our home builder contracted Sav On Fence built our fence and gates when we built the house three years ago.  Recently, we wanted to reposition our gates and raise the front of the fence. We contacted Sav On Fence for a quote and it was twice as high as the nearest competitor.  While we were reviewing bids for this project, a wind storm broke one of the welds on a gate that Sav On built during original build.  We contacted Sav On to provide an estimate to fix the one broken weld and was told someone could come by in about a week.  Reluctantly we agreed to wait the week and set up a appointment on a Tuesday at 4:00 PM.  On that Tuesday, we received a call from the office asking if we could send pictures of the broken weld.  Keep in mind i had to request time off from MY job to meet them at 4:00.  We sent them pictures and was told that someone would contact us the next day.  They never showed for the 4:00 appointment.  They also told us they apologized, but were busy.  After waiting all day Wednesday to be contacted, we call at 4:45 only to be told we would be contacted first thing in the morning.  NOTHING!

I have had other companies build fence in the past but the quality of the product and the work performed was far better than any I have had.

Gene Sena was extremely responsive with his quote and ready with suggestions.  They weren't the cheapest company we received quotes from but we were impressed with Gene's attentiveness to our requests.  The fence was beautiful upon completion.  There was some miscommunication about some details in the gates but all was corrected.  
Several weeks after completion, one of the gates would not close due to ground shift.  We were told someone would call us to coordinate the warranty work.  After several weeks with no response I placed another call to Gene Sena and was assured it would be taken care of.  After another several weeks and 2 calls to the office with no response I emailed Gene to let him know how disappointed I was - this was followed up with an email and phone call from the owners who assured that the gate issue would be addressed that day and it was.
Not sure where the disconnect occurred and it was the only glitch we ran in to.  Neighbors have stopped by to complement us on the fence several times.

We had a time limit and Sav-on was able to complete the work before the deadline in a very professional manor.

They did a really good deal. They were prompt and professional. The crew, manager, salesperson were all good. The general manager came out and did a meet and greet with us. It was all around good. Everything from top to bottom was good.

I requested the first appointment of the day for someone to come give me a bid to replace and upgrade my existing fence. I was given an 8:00 AM appointment. At 8:25, I received a call from the representative saying he was running late from a "prior appointment" and would arrive in 20 minutes. I waited an additional 40 minutes and since I had to get to the office for a meeting, I decided I was not going to wait any longer for him to show up. He tried to call my cell phone almost an hour after his original call and left a message saying he was at my house. Since I already had two bids from other fence companies that were capable of arriving on time for their bid appointment, I will not be using Sav-On Fence. In my opinion, companies that can't provide good service before they even have your business should not be trusted to provide good service after they have your business.

They are honest and hard working. Their quality is exceptional and they go above and beyond. Their pricing for what they do, They are higher than most but their quality is better than what I have seen other companies put out there. I did call a couple of companies on Angie's List and one of them came they did not even return my call with the full estimate. They wasted my time and did not give me an estimate. So for Sav-On I would give them an A quality and A price.

The work was very expensive.  The other bid that I got from Angie's List was $20,000.  I saved about $6,000 by going with him.  If you call his cell phone number, he will answer immediately.

WORK WAS EXCELLENT, HOWEVER IT TOOK A VERY LONG TIME TO COMPLETE THE SECOND SMALL JOB, COMPLAINT WITH BBB WAS HANDLED PROMPTLY AND TO OUR SATISFACTION.
