"After four interviews, Hill Country Road Paving was the only one that included fixing some weak spots on my asphalt driveways. (14,500 sq ft in total). They did a 2 course chip seal in 6 hours with the edge asphalt remediation. Their crew was respectful to the extent that my neighbor told me she was impressed by their assurance that they wouldn't block her driveway during the effort. Not only did they do great work expeditiously but, at a cost less than the other three contractors. I bonus them $100 per worker on top of their charge. I would definitely use them again."

"Handyman Carpentry came through for me and my family! Our door was kicked in and I needed to feel safe immediately. Mr. Kevin came through with a fast response, and great work. He kept in contact throughout the entire time! Reasonable and fair pricing. This was an emergency for me and Mr. Kevin and his squad came through. We will definitely be calling on him again for more carpentry and home improvement jobs! Thank you and I pray nothing but growth and success for you and your business!!"

"I researched many barn construction companies before making the decision to use Diamond W Specialties. They built me a steel buildings that is 40x40 including a 10x40 lean to that will be used as a porch. The concrete work was excellent as was the construction on the steel building. They told me they would be complete in one month from start to finish. Even with the week of Christmas holiday they completed the job in less than one month. The crew would arrive before daylight and work by their headlights until it was daylight then they worked past sundown. Each crew member had his specific job to do and it was like an assembly line. No one ever stood around wasting time. After construction was completed I expected them to pack up and leave but the doesn't half a day finding little things that most people wouldn't see and fixed them. When I went around the building looking for anything that was incomplete I didn't find a thing. Diamond W Specialties in my opinion is the best steel building construction company, period."

"It went really well, better than expected. Mr. King was great to work with as he provided me several options for water proofing (for the future) and he installed a sump pump which is what I needed as the first step. He was on time, cleaned up after the job was done (and during) and wanted to make sure we were very happy with his work. I waited to do a review because I wanted to see how the sump pump worked after rain. We have had a couple of good rain events since it was installed and we heard it working and doing its job. The unit is a little loud, but knowing it is working and moving the water out of the crawlspace is all that matters to me."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

The prevention steps are essentially the same, no matter the patio material. Keep the surface clean and maintained. Ensure there's no debris buildup, and cover the whole thing in a quality sealant. If it's the start of a season or it's been a while since you've cleaned the area, use a pressure washer.

The best cleaning solution for stamped concrete is a combination of water and mild soap. Dish soap and laundry detergent are good options. For more stubborn stains, you can use an alkaline cleaner that removes oil and grease. In either case, you’ll want to steer clear of abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals which can damage the concrete.

You can use a pressure washer to clean a whole host of surfaces. The exterior siding of your house is one of the most popular spots, as well as your driveway, garage floor, patio or deck, and even your outdoor furniture. Just be mindful about the amount of pressure you apply to different materials—concrete can handle a lot more than wood, for example.

You should never use bleach in a pressure washer. While bleach is effective at killing mold and mildew, it is a potent chemical that can corrode the machine's seals and nozzles, destroying it from the inside out. Additionally, pressure washing with bleach sprays the chemical into the air, which is dangerous if inhaled and can kill nearby plants, flowers, or harm animals that ingest it. If you need to remove mold or mildew, it is best to hire a professional who will use a safe and effective cleaning agent.

There’s no legal requirement that states that you need rebar in a concrete driveway, but since the slab will be supporting heavy vehicle loads, it’s always a good idea to pay a bit more for rebar reinforcement. Your driveway will be much more likely to crack if you don’t reinforce it with rebar. Driveways that need to support commercial vehicles or provide parking for multiple vehicles at once should always include rebar reinforcement. If you’re pouring concrete over asphalt or pouring concrete over an existing slab, you may not have enough depth for rebar, meaning an increased risk of cracking.
