On May 22, 2011  we ordered new Adura floor Product Number: VA002 initial total cost was $3400; half was paid in cash leaving a balance of $1700.  At the time it was expected that the product would be delivered in a couple weeks Between May 22, 2011 and July 12, 2011 Eagle Rug and Flooring had change the expected delivery and installation date claiming the delay was due to delays from distributor. It is important to note that we had contacted Eagle Rug and Flooring by phone various time leaving message as to status. It was only when showing up in person that Eagle Rug and Flooring would give us an update. On July 12, 2011 spoke with Dixie Gil to get an exact date of delivery and installation, an amendment was written to contract that included a missing warranty agreement and  a due date for delivery of material and installation. In the amendment the materials were to arrive on July 19th and July 20th and installation was to complete by July 29th. On July 22, 2011 the old flooring was removed and installation began but very early during install I noticed VA003 was being installed and not VA002. I stopped the installation work and came in person to Eagle Rug and flooring and I brought this issue to Dixie Gil of who referred me to Dan Gil of Eagle Rug and Flooring. Dan said at time my wife had change flooring because he would not be able to deliver the VA002 as agreed To avoid further confusion we waited to come in together My wife confronted Dan Gil and told him that she and never changed her mind and showed Dan the contract. Dan Gil then confronted me and denied ever saying that.I told Dan that he was a liar. Dan threated to "smash my face" lounging forward with fist clinched, with my pregnant wife in the middle if I continued calling him a liar."  Dan appeared completely out of control. I keep an eye on Dan who continued screaming out of control that I not look at him. Things did calm down finally shortly before Dan's daughter Dara Gill came in who had heard the whole conversation via phone. Dan's daughter clarified that the correct part number had been ordered and that the distributors had delivered the wrong product.  Dan offered a $400 discount in addition to reimbursement for total cost of flooring he was to have collected from distributor for error on distributors end. We agreed to allow the installation to continue with wrong ordered floor and accepted the deal based on $400 discount and re-imbursement of cost of flooring passed from Eagle Rug and Flooring distributor. Even though I had all records of conversation a witness and Dan had nothing more then original contract never showed change of flooring I was unable to collect on promised agreement. Eagle Rug and floor in not an accredited BBB business but had posted at its business that it was Eagle Rug and Floor is however rated and F by the BBB NOTE Floor quality was good and installation average. They did not cleanup as they should and left a little bit of a mess.

Once we had decided on the particular granite that we wanted for our kitchen, we obtained several estimates.  Eagle Rug and Floor was by far the least expensive.  Other companies wanted to charge extra for this and that (the tear-out, the plumbing, the sink and faucet), but for Dan Gill at Eagle it was all included in the price quoted.  Never did he ask for a penny more.

This is a small, family-run operation and sometimes it was difficult to get a phone call returned promptly. Things did not always happen "on schedule", but the end product was worth some of the frustrations.  The fabricators/installers are true artisans.  When minor adjustments had to be made to the granite, they were able to do it right here at the house.  They never left before everything was cleaned up and perfect.  The final product is gorgeous and couldn't have been any better if we had paid twice the price!

If you are looking for countertops or new flooring, go out to Jarrell and visit with Dan and Dixie to see what they can do for you.

The contractor charged my credit cards for the full amount of the contract and then, after completing less than 20 percent of the job, abandoned the job. The contractor also threatened physical violence if I didn't pay him more money than we agreed-to in the contract. I am still trying to get the contractor to complete my job, but they will not respond to me. Also, even after full payment was made on a contract that still remains less than 20 percent complete, the contractor apparently didn't pay his sub-contractors. The sub-contractors began showing up at my home asking for payment. When I asked them whether the contractor paid them, they told me that Eagle Rug refused to pay and told them to go collect money directly from me, the homeowner. Also, the contractor destroyed my existing carpets in what I believe was a deliberate attempt to make me buy carpet from them. I found smeared grease and oil in almost every room of my home -- even rooms that weren't involved in the remodel. I am in the process of filing reports with the Attorney General's office and all other applicable agencies. Be very careful before selecting this contractor!

Eagle Floor and Tile are great people to work with. This is a granite and counter top job but we also had Eagle install wood flooring. They are very professional and we felt like family before the experience was over. We will use this company again and we highly recommend Dan and Dixie for your tile, flooring or granite needs.

From the time that they did the initial design and rework, to doing the carpentry work to raise the bar and installing the granite, I would say that they did a real super professional job. They prepped the granite back at their shop, to get it ready to be installed, and so they had to do almost zero rework here at the house. They just had to do some fine-tuning bits of work. Compared to the others that I got, they were better with their price. I got a lot better wood from them than I would have got elsewhere. When they walked away after the job, we didn't have to clean up anything, and that was really great. They didn't even use my trash can for anything, even though I offered it to them.
