We had planned to board our cats for two days during a house move. The animal boarding facility that we had originally planned to use refused to let us see the area where the cats would be kept, which was not acceptable to us. Since this was late on a Sunday afternoon, the day before the move, we had to do some urgent research to find a place to board our cats. The VCA facility in Irving, Texas is open 24/7, and they were happy to show us their boarding facilities. Since we had previously used them for veterinary care, we knew that our cats would be in the best of hands during their stay. I was happy to find that their boarding area is clean, odorless, and provides roomy accommodations. I would also add that VCA's staff was not only thoroughly professional, but also unflaggingly cheerful, helpful, and supportive. I can recommend them with absolutely no hesitation.

Dr. Richard Bischofhausen misrepresented the cancer treatment for my dog. We relied on his gross misrepresentation when agreeing to let him operate on our dog. Our dog received a useless operation and within hours of coming home follow this surgery, he was sick to his stomach, gagging and couldn't breathe properly and then was ultimately diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis LP - Dr. B. implied that it was a coincidence but we don't buy it! And despite spending lots of money and making numerous trips to this office, it wasn't Dr. B. who diagnosed the LP or who successfully treated our dog for the Cancer.
VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital of Irving fired us as patients/customers after faithfully paying their bills for 4 years because we questioned what Dr. B and his technician did and we requested our dog's medical records.

Vet visit, vaccinations, pet lodge.

This is our 3rd or 4th trip to this Vet. We are new to town and our neighbors take their cat here, so we decided to give it a try. We have been very pleased with the service we have received. Everyone is loving and kind towards our dog. Definitely would recommend!

They are just really good people over there - all the doctors are. They are really nice and very reasonable. I find the price pretty standard for vets. The staff is all very receptive, they are always very nice about answering your questions, having the doctor call me back. They seem to be people to really care about animals. Usually you're in and out very quickly.

Recently relocated from Houston and by suggestion from a neighbor I took my puppy, who is due to be spayed, to VCA Metroplex. The receptionist was very friendly, and even gave my dog a toy to play with while we waited for our appointment. Once we got back to a room, the vet tech was very friendly, asking me questions, genuinely interested in my dog. Once we saw our vet, Dr. Eaton, she was extremely thorough, and made sure to answer all my questions. She explained the procedure that my dog would be having, and the way their practice handles it differently from some...pre-surgery bloodwork, human grade anesthesia, overnight stay, etc. as well as all the benefits of having the surgery there. I honestly felt like my dog was in WONDERFUL hands! She took my dog back for the pre-surgery bloodwork, and for a flu shot she recommended. The prices are a little higher than in Houston, however you get your first wellness exam FREE! And the technician also let me in on a secret...half price vaccines on Wednesdays!
The next day, Dr. Eaton herself called to make sure my dog was ok after the flu shot. She then went on to give me some more instructions on getting her ready for her surgery that we scheduled for the next week. All in all, I was VERY impressed!

Took in my VERY shaggy and matted puppy for her first ever grooming. I knew going in that because of the matted hair she would have to be shaved. When I picked her up, she was shaved, but it was done very well, and they left her tail fluffy, and cleaned up her face. They also plucked her ears and trimmed her nails. For her first ever grooming, I was very impressed. They were punctual, very friendly, and all at a reasonable price. I will be going back over and over again.
