Protection 1 Security Solutions

As part of my contract, I pay a certain amount every month. It's $3 or $4. If I have a service call, they just come fix it. The best part of the experience is that they do the installation and the service and so on really well. The only comment that I would have is that, if I accidentally set off the alarm - and they're supposed to call - sometimes it takes up to 7 or 8 minutes and I think that's too long. I think their price is reasonable. They're coming out on Monday to upgrade my system.

I am looking to replace them. I started using them about 2 years ago. I don't trust that they are overseeing our services. I don't feel like they are providing security. We had problems with them because they weren't covering us for a while and we were paying. Then they came out and they said that the security system had been broken and charged us almost $400 for that, and turned around and charged us again. I demanded for them to repay it and it took them forever to repay it, and they finally did. Their bookkeeping was very poor. They finally returned all the money and said that I was on a debit thing where they had access to my account and so they just kept taking money out of my account. Things are back to normal, but I am just not really sure if they are providing coverage for us.

We have been monitored for years by Protection One. They can't seem to get their billing straight after the City of Dallas repealed the "Verified Response" law. Numerous letters sent and notes with our checks. We deducted the erroneous amounts. We just learned that our account was canceled due to late payments and we are current if they would just reverse the billing errors for Patrol services that are no longer required in Dallas, TX. Dealing with their customer service is like hitting ones head against the wall. Nobody seems to be able to take control of the situation and resolve this.

They did excellent work, they were on time, and were reasonably priced.

Getting rid of them TODAY.

The installer arrived on time and was very courteous, knowledgeable, and within 4 hours had my new alarm system installed and on-line. He explained how to operate it completely and cleaned up his mess from the installation, even offering to vacuum the floors. Excellent experience and I highly recommend Protection One for anyone wanting a system created for their needs and not just a cookie-cutter special.

They dropped the ball after years of service.

Micheal was the sales rep who came out to give me an estimate to update and reactivate my alarm system. He was thorough and gave me multiple options on what I could do and what it would cost. He had a very honest approach with my needs in mind. I received estimates from other alarm companies who tried to get the quick sale and up sell me on options I did not need. It was refreshing to finally cut through the other sales tactics and actually receive a good estimate that fits my needs so I signed on the spot. The installation also went very well and now I am comfortable with my choice and glad I went with them.

Norman coordinated the service to the system. Immediately identified the fault and had the technician to a complete check and service of the system. The system is now verified and updated, great experience.

I have been very happy with Protection One for six years now. I pay them a reasonable monthly bill and I am pleased. They respond quickly if I need them and they are very professional. They have never failed me. My cat set the alarm of one time while I was gone and the police did come very promptly. However, they did leave me a very unhappy note.

Their follow-up is exceptional. If I accidentally set off the alarm, the company is contacting me within one minute to assure my safety. They assure my privacy is of utmost importance by controlling passwords and other personal information. The employees are professional and courteous.

They do respond very quickly to false alarms. When we needed the battery replaced, they came right out. We appreciate that they are so responsive. Their customer service department is also very helpful. The serviceman was prompt and courteous.

We just moved into this house, but have been using Protection One for a couple of years in our previous house. We have been much more satisfied with them than the other previous provider we had.

Each Protection One employee who came to our house was extremely professional and completed their work in a timely manner. They always arrived on time or else called, saying they were running behind. Even though Protection One monthly fee is more expensive than the other 3 estimates we received ($34.95), they were the only monitoring service of those we researched who offered cell backup. After a few glitches in the cell backup system, the problems were resolved and no more trouble reported. The new wireless equipment they installed is working fine with no problems after one month. We are very pleased with Protection One thus far, and they respond much more promptly than our previous service when there are problems with their equipment.

REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY POLITE AND PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.
