Gecko Green

Please be aware of this company. My lawn tech. would only do the front lawn although I paid for full service. He acted as though he would go in the backyard but do nothing I watched him from the window. When I informed the company they sent the same tech back and he rung my bell and was very aggressive about me calling the office. I immediately cancelled my service.. Please beware aware.

After one treatment my lawn is lush and green. Friends and neighbors are commenting on how good it looks. Highly recommend them.

They told me they can no longer treat the crabgrass and chemical is banned. Ended up with two large chemical burns in back yard after 6-8 months of treatments (killing x2 large 3x4 sections of my grass), and handpicking out all the crabgrass myself over time. Paid over $40 for treatments every x2 weeks from June-Jan. Finally stopped the madness and informed them not to come out as pre-emergent Fall-Winter did nothing, had more weeds than previous year when I treated. Went to Lowes and bought Bayer 6 month weed and feed which has controlled weeds better than they ever did, and it has not damaged my grass. They worked ok for the summer months but **** its summer and easy to grow nice grass. Save your money and do it yourself on the cheap. In the long run you will have better results and more $$ in your pocket.

They were simply the best, our yard always looked great. Then they were sold and all of the good people went away and the finger pointing started when my yard looked terrible for the 2014 season. Too much/too little water, mow more/less, etc. everybody has an excuse and I still write checks for about $600 a month for yard related expenses. Around August I meet with a manager and we discussed how cinch bugs had damaged my lawn, they treated for those after the fact, but then a fungus took hold in the damaged areas, and so on. I ended up with huge bare and dead spots by September. The remaining green spots were filled with weeds because the grass wasn't healthy. I had specifically warned them prior to the season that I always get cinch bugs in summer and fungus problems in the fall and was assured that it would be handled. Anyway long story short my yard went from show quality to an embarrassment in less than a year. I had to have a portion of the yard re-sodded this spring at considerable cost. I listened to a lot of talk, promises, reasoning, etc, but the bottom line is my grass looked terrible because they let problems go WAY to long. Just a quick drive-by by a tech should have caught these problems early and I would expect this for customers on contract.
BTW- My yard is looking GREAT this year because I am treating/fertilizing it myself (still paying for the mowing, etc). You can buy all of the professional treatment products on Amazon, fertilizer at Home Depot, and with a little care and research do this yourself  for a fraction of the cost. I would still rather hire someone because I am busy, but I just don't want to go through all the hassles and expense when it gets damaged. 

They are good for a routine maintenance. They do not cut lawns, they only fertilize and they are not certified horticulturists so they're knowledge of  problems like fungus is limited.

They seem to be doing good.

they are great.  excellent sensitivity to dogs in the yard.  actually the service person collected all the toys we forgot to pickup and put them on the porch before he started treating the yard.

It is a local company. As what I remember, they weren't as timely as the current company I use. Overall, I would say it was a C.

Tray B came out and did the work for us.  He has treated our yard at least 3 times.  He always does an excellent job.  He answers all of our questions about the yard, and how to make it better.  Our yard looks better than it ever has since Tray at Gecko Green started servicing our yard.

This use to be a small family owned business. They were very personable and did a great job. They were bought out in 2013. The new owners have replaced everyone that I use to talk to with very high pressure sales people. Also, the chemicals don't seem as good anymore. They told me that the old spray was outlawed, and they had to change. But I feel that whatever they are using now is no better than what I can buy at home depot. I really liked the 2012 Gecko Green,but they have changed everything, and I am no longer a customer.

The aeration was performed on a saturated yard and tore it up. The expensive grub treatment had no effect on the moles. But the weeds did die eventually. 1 for 3

They came out last year and quoted us for a series of lawn treatments throughout the course of the year. They are very friendly and professional; very knowledgeable. They will automatically schedule and call you before the next treatment. After battling with our lawn for two years on our own, this year went very smoothly.

They are very punctual and they call before they come. They do a good job. They will talk to you. They will tell you what they think and what they found. We had a brown spot on our yard and they treated that. They are very good.
