Very well, On time, and reasonably priced

The dealer was unable to fix an electrical problem in our Saab that would make it difficult for us to have the car pass inspection. The dealer informed us that the part was unavailable, and if it was available, it would be $1300.
Contacted French's they contacted a company they were aware of that rebuilt those parts. Were able to have the problem fixed and the car back to us in less than two weeks for less than it would have been even if the dealer could have gotten the parts.

I couldn't pinpoint the noise. After driving car for a couple of minutes, with me in the car, the mechanic said it was the wheel bearing. They squeezed me into their scheduled and fixed it that day.

They were exceptionally helpful as far as customer service. I had a special problem that needed to be looked into. They were willing to research it and get back to me very quickly. Their prices were reasonable and they have a very friendly staff. They did great work, done very quickly. They were very efficient and timely. I feel that they were very trustworthy and honest. They got right back to me and were very forthright.

I sent an email about my problem and requested a phone call as my preferred response. Charlotte, office mgr, called me the next morning and said the first available time would be 3 days later. I was disappointed but I understood and made the appointment. Moments later she called back to say that by re-arranging their schedule they could work on my car that day if I were able to bring it in. I did. (They have wireless so I was able to get some work done while there.). The work was completed in 3 hours, and this included an additional task. The theft alarm system was misbehaving. I asked about this and was told they could fix it. They did.
An important point: They only work on SAABs.
I was very impressed with their intent to get the job done right, their interest in my car--it's history, and their explanation of charges. I now have a place to get my SAAB fixed that won't cost a fortune.

They are extremely helpful. I do a lot of the work myself and go there to find out prices and gets parts from them. I sometimes go to them when I don't have the tools to do a job or for diagnostics and he is very helpful. He is very professional and is cheaper than a dealership. He is not cheap but a bit less expensive than a dealer. He knows cars very well and makes sure that a job is done correctly and on time. He doesn't do any sloppy work and tries to put in the best parts available. He is a very good guy and very straightforward. He is always smiling. He is the only one I have been going to and he is a guy that I can trust.

Perfect! The dealer quoted about $3000 to repair the oil leaks (they'd claimed that disassembling the engine was needed) and over $500 to fix the door windows and locks. French's specifically identified the oil leaks, quoted them at about $450. The gave me the disclaimer that the leaks they saw were the most obvious ones to repair and that I should give it a few months to see if there are additional leaks that could not be found initially (hidden due to the larger, more egregious ones). A few months have gone by and so far my SAAB is leak-free! (knocking on wood) They also fixed the door locks and front passenger window for a reasonable price, but I cannot remember the exact cost (albeit it was good). Great shop and personal attention to you and your car directly from the mechanics themselves. Also, they're extremely honest, transparent and patient, totally unlike auto mechanics I've ever dealt with. Keep it up French's!
