This is an old style tv repair shop in an out of the way hard to find location. They were referred as one of the few shops that service rear projection Mitsubishi sets. The set was dropped off at their location therefore no delivery charge. There was no estimate given for the repair and they required $25 up front to look at it. They called a few days later to say that it was ready to pick up. The charges for a replacement lamp and installation (10 minutes) was $159 for the lamp and a $195 Technical charge. This totaled nearly $390 including tax for a service that can be done by a handy but non-technical person. Not only was the technical charge excessive, they marked up the lamp by more than double (check genuine Mitsubishi parts @ shopjimmy online to see) and no estimate was provided prior to work completion. All I can guess is that they are making up for there old out of the way location that has been bypassed by new roadwork prior to closing up shop and retiring.
