I noticed our home A/C was not blowing cool air when in use. I called Jeff Nannen (the owner of AirMechanics) immediately, as I have used Jeff for many, many years for my heating and air conditioning. Jeff is a soft spoken, honest professional who truly cares about his customers. Jeff came out and found that the "first stage" of the system had apparently run past whatever cut off time there is for it and that automatically shuts off the compressor to avoid damage. There are a couple of buttons on the circuit board on the outside A/C unit that needed to be reset and the system works perfectly again. A simple reset that is, unfortunately, not a normal thing available to homeowners to DIY. Jeff checked the electronics and freon level and all was fine. Jeff refused payment, despite his trip out and time to check the A/C unit. As a side note, a few years ago during a hot Summer and while out of state, my son called me that the A/C had stopped working at the house. I called Jeff, who went by our home at 9:00PM the same night, replaced the outside fan and got the system back online. He was not concerned with the billing at that point and I paid him when I returned home. Try to find someone who will do that for long time customers.
Description of Work: Check A/C system for cooling problem.
