Josh Lee came home to do a design and quote. After 2 months I got a rough design but no quote. I asked him many times for a simple quote but he always refused to provide one detailed quote for that design, making me go to the office to get one done. I asked him for a quote from the very beginning. He just didn't want to provide one upfront as other companies did. Nevertheless we had an appointment set up to go over materials and then get a quote. The night before the appointment I sent him an email asking again for a quote with standard materials (nothing impossible). He replied back stating I was playing games with him and I didn't believe him or could not comprehend what he was telling me. Along with his response, this guy cancelled our appointment with them, after waiting 2 months to get the design and some more time to get the appointment. Totally unprofessional. We've been counting on this company to build our pool but this guy just made us waste time with them. If he is not comfortable, he should have directed us to his manager or some other designer within the company instead of just cancelling our appointment and leaving us with no option to work with them. I'd definitely NOT recommend this guy or the company. Not a serious business/experience.

We are 8 months into a project that is still incomplete. We signed our contract months before COVID hit hard & we should have been swimming months ago. We were told the company is overwhelmed by new business & basically we aren’t priority. So pools purchased in March are being finished before ours. Half way though our construction our job’s Superintendent left & we were never told anything. Work just stopped & no one ever came out to our house. Then 1 day we had a meeting with what we thought was the decking guy, only to find out it was our new Superintendent (15minutes into their mtg) No communication, no urgency, no concern that our job was on the books months before these other builds. We had to pay them the rest of the money before they would prep for our plaster & took a quick vacation to get home in time for it. Guess what we are now home & being told it will still possibly be another week or so- which is code for another month. Don’t trust this company, go with someone else. I haven’t even gone into detail about all the different issues with construction we have had. We went with this company because they have been around a long time. But clearly it’s not because of their product or professionalism. We wanted someone we could trust to lead this job & we have had to pay close attention to everything to make sure they correct all their mistakes.

Outstanding project, highly recommend.

Excellent. Originally, our priority was to move the equipment and install the drain system. After talking with Don, we decided this was the perfect time to add the salt system. The crews completed all of this in a day and did a fantastic job. Our intention was to replace all of the equipment, during the full up pool remodel we our planning for the fall/winter. Unfortunately, after the work was completed, the filter developed a leak, which the homeowner made worse when the band clamp on the aging DE filter failed. I was in a tough spot as I was to be out of town and I wasn't sure if the filter would make it through the weekend. This is where Mid-City Pools was spectacular. In less then a days notice, during their busiest time of the year, they made the time to come out and replace the filter so that I wouldn't have to worry about catastrophic leaks over the weekend. Our experience with Midcity has been wonderful.  From the beginning with the pool design with Sue she has been with us throughout the process.  She was able to take our ideas and improve them beyond our wildest dreams.  The installation of the pool went well for the most part.  Throughout the process there were several issues during the process - each one was quickly addressed by Midcity.  Even a year later, and after all of our checks have been cashed, Midcity continues to be helpful and attentive.
We have recommended Midcity to several friends looking at putting in a pool, and have no reservations in doing such.

There was some delay in starting our pool, but once they started it was finished in 1 month. That was really good. We were given what is called "POOL SCHOOL" which helps in learning the ins and outs of pool maintenance.
