Unpleasant experience with the owner. To this day I'm not happy with overall pool quality; flaking/disolving stone general sloppiness. We went to office in Hurst to select the plaster color and opted for a custom color they had used before. The salesperson noted the selection in our file. When the plaster was applied it was an awful robin's egg blue. It looked like a Tihauna motel pool. The on site supervisor asked me just before the application if the mix was correct (2 part color x 9 parts color z). It was not what we remembered, so we corrected him. He called the office to verify, but it was not the mix of the sample we selected in the office. The issue could have been avoided by them checking the file where the salesperson made the note. We setteled the dispute by paying about $3500 to replaster the pool (their cost). Prior to the color issue the pool was dug incorrectly and not caught until after gunite. That resulted in a 3 week delay while they jack hammered and made correction.

WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICES OF MERMAID. THE DESIGNER WAS VERY SENSITIVE TO WHAT WE WANTED IN A POOL. THE INSTALLATION WAS A QUICK AS POSSIBLE-BAD WEATHER DID INTERFERE. SO FAR, WE HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS WITH POOL OR MAINTENANCE.

VERY NICE REPLASTER JOB. ALWAYS RETURN PHONE CALLS WITHIN 24 (OFTEN EVEN ON WEEKENDS). VERY PATIENT AND HELPFUL; THEY ALWAYS TAKE THE TIME TO DISCUSS OPTIONS AND OUTCOMES.
