Terrible service and low balls appraisal

He said let me pull up some information on your home and area before I come out and charge you for an appraisal.  He spent a half hour on the phone with me while he pulled up comps and looked at other tax bills.  He determined that my home was mostly likely priced correctly and even if the square footage was off by a couple hundred feet, I would not be able to reduce my taxes by much or even at all.

When it's time to sell my house you can bet I will be calling Mark.  Not only did he save me the cost of an appraisal but the time I would have to take off of work to appear in court.  Great guy and honest!

Mark Bond was selected by my mortgage company to appraise my home for refinance. I had no choice in the matter, and the price was a standard one set up by mortgage company, which may or may not be his typical rate.
He was flexible in scheduling to fit my needs, called to confirm his appointment the day before, and was very prompt and professional. The appraisal was quick and unobtrusive, and his report was delivered within two days. The appraisal value is what I expected.
The only minor concerns on the report were incorrect flooring types, appliances and the presence of gutters. I don't think these had much effect on the appraised value, and weren't especially important as it was a refinance, anyway. 

Overall, I am pleased with the process and appraisal.
