J & R FENCE CO INC

J & R Fence was contracted by my backyard neighbor to replace our privacy fence that had blown over.  I was not present when J & R Fence met with my neighbor for the initial job estimate.  Since my fence line had landscaping (shrubs, flowers and retaining stone walls) and a large electrical power transformer and utility connection box, I generated an electronic diagram (Power Point) and emailed it to Jerry Poda for discussion.  In trying to talk with Jerry on the phone concerning the placement of the new post holes so that minimum damage would occur to the landscaping and the replacement of an old wooden post by the power transformer (all detailed on the diagram), Jerry sounded totally disinterested in my inputs.  When Jerry later called to have the underground utilities marked, he only had them mark the utilities in my neighbor's backyard and not around the power transform and utility box by the fence line (where I had specifically asked him to install a new post).  When a called Jerry and told him that the utility companies had only marked the utilities in my neighbor's backyard and had marked nothing in mine, he told me to call them myself (which I tried to do).  I then told him that since the utilities would take up to two days to complete marking, that I would not pay him a cent if he started digging before the utilities had marked around my power transformer and utility box.  I then told my neighbor that I was very dissatisfied with J & R Fence and that I would not pay any part of a new fence if my neighbor continued the fencing project with J & R Fence.  Jerry and crew appeared the next day and started digging before any utilities were marked around my power transformer (less than two days after the utilities were called).  The new fence post that they place by the transform (nowhere near where I requested placement) I'm sure is buried less than 16 inches down (or Jerry is dumber than I think he is).  None of the other new posts were place anywhere near where I had requested them (< 16 inches deep ? ? ?).  Need I say more....
