My brakes had been worn down for a while, and they had started to grind fairly loudly. Firestone wanted $200 for the basic job and said I'd probably need new rotors. The Hyundai dealership in Huntsville wanted $200 per axle. I took it into Solis, and explained that Firestone and Hyundai both said I'd need new rotors. They told me they'd have to look to be sure, but because I was running late to work I went ahead and just authorized them to do the job based on some great things my friends had told me about them. I trusted them to do only what was necessary. The gentleman helping me told me it'd most likely be done by the end of the day. Sure enough, the job was done when they said it would be, and they told me that the rotors didn't need to be replaced at all, and that they just resurfaced them.

|These guys are an absolute rarity in the auto repair business. They were extraordinarily professional and kind, especially considering how dumb I am about cars. They could've charged me for new rotors in light of my ignorance regarding car repairs, and they didn't. I will never take my car anywhere else for as long as I'm in Huntsville for college. These guys deserve your business.

I needed a brake job and only had one set of brake pads, not enough for my whole truck. He then explained that he needed to do all of them to get the best results and I'm so glad I listened to him. When he was working on the side I hadn't originally planned to get done, because I had gotten it done earlier that month, He called me and explained that one of my calipers was freezing up and needed replacing immediately. I went ahead and gave permission and he still was able to get my truck back to me at the promised time. He even showed me my old caliper/brake pads and I saw the damage to them when I came to pick up my truck.
He's upfront, honest and did an awesome job. I will definitely be using him in the future.

My car would not start or hold a charge when given a jump. I called Solis Automotive and he told me to have my car towed in. I told him I believed that I needed an alternator and a new battery. He said he would check it out and if that was the case he would take care of it. He called me the same day and told me I needed an alternator and not a battery. He then installed the alternator with a lifetime warranty. He could have charged me for a new battery also, but he didn't. I was very pleased with his work.
