picture framing

I had a pen and ink drawing of an old tri-master on a circular piece of paper. I wanted to frame it with a circular frame to evoke thoughts of a porthole. They did a perfect job of cutting the matte. They had difficulty locating the frame in part, because I was very picky. Once framed, within a few months the paint began to flake away. I was worried they wouldn't remember the piece, but as it turned out, it was so spectacular that when it was framed the first time they set it out for others to see. It got a lot of attention apparently. They contacted the frame company and replaced it no charge. The new frame doesn't appear to have any problems and the piece looks great. I grew up on the Pacific ocean, so gazing at it always makes me think of the sea, and home. Another piece was a H. Sarre giclees of Katina New Orleans--very colorfull! This piece wasn't an odd shape, but it was so colorful, that picking the matte wasn't easy. I ended up choosing purple, a little on the wild side. The frame had dental work that matched the Victorian row housing in the picture. I'm no artist, but have an artist's eye. So what I especially appreciated about working with them is that they'll make suggestions when chosing the frame and matte but only if you ask them to. It's just the right amount of assistance. Again, this second piece was stunning once framed so it was also set out in the gallery before I picked it up. They loved the purple matte, and so did everyone else who had a chance to see it. Later, I had two smaller photographs of dragonflies framed. The brilliant turquoise of one and the rich chesnut color of the other were beautifully highlighted with the matte colors. The young woman helping me (I'll add her name when I think of it) was so inspired, that she went out that weekend with her new camera and took similar shots. She allowed me to see them and I was amazed by their intensity of color. I don't know how she managed to make one tiny dragonfly, black and turquoise, look like a massive-jawed, bone-crunching monster, but she did. I had to have it. She didn't ask enough for it; I paid more to encourage her. Once again, she framed a dragonfly photo for me, but this time it was her own. The three make a beautiful triptich in my office where I sit pretending that I'm outside in my garden with the dragonflies. I could go on because they've done other work for me. Bottom line? Frameworks is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for! My art is protected in beautiful frames and protective glass and the women of Frameworks are simply great to work with. .
Description of Work: Matted and framed art. The price listed is approximate and is roughly what I pay for one medium-sized piece. The price can vary quire a bit depending on the type of glass and frame used. I tend to use the most expensive glass to protect the art behind it..
