He is a scoundrel. If he does the work, he does a good job, but he didn't finish the work. He only did the framing and that's it. He took our money for the labor and left the job undone and also took money for the supplies. He also left a mess. On top of everything else, we had to pick up nails, lumber, and other debris.
Description of Work: We made a written contract to add 800 sq.ft. to an existing structure (our retirement cottage) which was to be completed within 2 months. 1/2 the fee was to be paid upfront with $500.00 month paid until the balance was paid in full while the work was being done. We were to purchase all the materials, the contract amount was for labor only. We actually paid him $1,000.00 month. After the first month, Daniel started complaining that he needed more money to pay his workers. We paid him the balance because we wanted the workers to get paid and they were young men. Daniel had not paid the workers anything and started to take his tools off the work site as soon as he got the balance. After that, he stopped coming.
