Communication with Ed is very poor. He gives a very vague quote and when I asked for verification on everything he wouldn't respond to emails. We were heading away on summer vacation so we had to get something done so I called him and asked him to come out and do the job. Before starting on the job I spoke to him and verified that everything we wanted to be done was going to be done and he assured me and said he and quot;guarantees his workand quot;. I get home from work after they finished the job and nothing was done right. What he had installed was a basic sprinkler system (which I already had) and changed out my timer with another timer that does the same thing and has no remote. Ed is very stubborn. He told me look lady I did things my way which is the right way. He made some rude remarks about me and the and quot;queersand quot; in my neighborhood. I had it and told him if he didn't install the system we had agreed on then I wouldn't pay. He said he doesn't care because he has lawyer friends and is friends with the local judge. I didn't quite believe him, but was I wrong. A few month later he takes me to court. We both present our sides and I show the judge the agreements we made and also voice recordings with our agreements. The judge sides with him! Wow. So of course I appeal. Ed sweet talks me and says hey I'll fix the system and install a timer with remote if you drop the appeal. Stupid me drops the appeal. He comes out one day does no work and vandalizes my system by making it flood my yard by putting in some sort of contractor only code into the system. He then confronts me angrily and demands that I pay him and and quot;bumpsand quot; into me. I go inside to get my husband and he takes off. Well I'm ranting a little too much right now but it was a horrible incident. So to summarize if you want a basic system done Ed's way.... call Texas Rainmakers... If you need anything custom or don't want to deal with someone that is very racist/sexist/ and what not then call someone else. Please contact me personally if you would like to know more.

The service was done very well. Serviceman arrived on time, did work promptly, quickly and completely, and replaced 3 heads.
My only concern was that the price for parts was 2.5-3 times greater than the local hardware store. I spoke to the owner and he stated that the parts he supplies are professional grade unlike the hardware store. I asked if I had the parts would he have installed
those and he replied yes. I will have the parts that I know are broken before calling the next time.

It went well. All went fine with them. I was very happy with them. I just really had no interaction with them except they did a complete audit of all the zones in my sprinkler system and replaced leaky heads and adjusted those that needed adjusting, but they explained what they did and explained their work to my satisfaction and they were professional. They were there about 45 minutes to an hour and went over what they did with me at the end.

Technicians came out and fixed the pipe and replaced the sprinkler head that the lawn service destroyed. As always, they were professional, quick and courteous.

Technicians replaced bad sprinkler heads and checked for a leak in our irrigation system. Everything went fine; the gentlemen were professional and courteous. The leak turned out to be in our neighbor's system.

On their first visit, Texas Rainmakers departed without informing us and without providing any information about the work they had performed. Our garage was left wide open and unattended for nearly two hours following their departure. We later discovered that Texas Rainmakers had charged us an extra $90 for work that was clearly outside the scope of the instructions they had agreed to a short time earlier. As compensation for the problems with their original job performance, Ed Julian (the owner) offered to install a new cycle stop valve in our water well pump system. Based on his promise, we paid our bill in full, including the $90 charge for unauthorized work. The workers who later attempted to install the cycle stop valve were unsure as to the correct location of the valve and made three unsuccessful attempts to install it properly. Two of these attempts occurred because Ed Julian instructed his workers to install the valve in an incorrect location. When the workers departed without having installed the valve, the supervising worker promised to return and complete the job. We shook hands on his promise. Later that day, Ed Julian claimed that our well/pump system was defective and that this had prevented the installation he had promised. He even said that our well might have collapsed. A few days later, when the well and pump were inspected and found to be perfectly fine, Ed Julian then refused to install the valve on the grounds that it had been "rude" for me to observe his workers on their second visit and ask questions about the manner in which their work was carried out. (Here are two such questions: 1. One worker required instruction from his supervisor regarding the correct direction for wrapping Teflon tape around a threaded pipe fitting. When this same worker neglected to clean dirt from a fitting before applying glue to it, I asked if the dirt should first be removed. 2. When cutting plastic pipe, the same worker typically used a cutting tool to cut about 90% of the way through the pipe and then snapped off the remainder. In one case, this led to an especially uneven cut and caused the pipe to take on an oval shape. I asked if this would cause any problems.) Ed Julian also said it had been "rude" for me to inform him in a later conversation that our water well installer had said that not all sprinkler workers were qualified to perform work on water well pump systems. Ed Julian cashed our check and then broke the very promise he made in order to receive that check. He readily agreed that he had broken this promise, saying that he was justified in doing so by the "rudeness" described above. When I told Ed Julian that I could not believe he would break his promise for such a reason, he again stated that my "rudeness" justified his behavior. I told Ed Julian that if he broke his word for this reason, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. His parting words were "Go ahead!"

Very well. You can tell these guys are pros, been doing it a long time etc. Total confidence in them. They came in and completely re-designed the sprinkler system, dug new trenches that afterwards looked like nothing had been touched. I was very happy with their professionalism and price.

The service and the company were excellent and did such an excellent job. They were out on time and came very well prepared. I have no complaints, and I am so pleased. I would definitely call them again for anything. The price was reasonable as well. I had gotten estimates from other places, and Texas seemed to be the cheapest.
