We offer 24 hour service and have competitive prices with service calls starting at $72.50 and coil change outs starting at $1,650.00 (coils under warranty start at $650). We offer free quotes on system change outs. We accept mastercard and visa and have financing options available as well. We purchased the a/c unit in April of 2010. We started having issues in early July of 2011. We had a repairman out multiple times and it continued to not operate correctly. In early April of 2013 we decided to go on Angie's List to look for a different a/c repair company. We contacted two companies for quotes. Scott with Tex Rite was the second representative to come out to give us a quote. His quote was very reasonable and he was able to answer all questions and concerns. He also noticed a sparking wire and replaced immediately with no charge. We had him out to do all the repairs on our unit in April 2013 and have not had any problems since. We would highly recommend his services to anyone needing good quality service.

He was the only person we talked to that would warantee his work and has since given phone consultations on how to proceed with further repairs. He is very kind, efficient and honest. From what we can tell he does quality work too.

Used AC Houston, John Moore, Kingwood AC, and none came up with a solution to our AC problems. All wanted to replace out AC/HEAT with John Moore also saying that we would also have to replace our Circuit Breaker Box as it has been discontinued and the Circuit Breakers were no longer available. Allspaugh's ACE Hardware readily had them in Kingwood.
We were recommended TEX-RITE and the owner Scott Meyer came out worked on and came up with an accurate diagnosis and suggested a solution. Money was tight and Scott worked with up and installed a coil on our AC in the attic and fixed our Freon leak as well. Unit has performed flawlessly ever since.

Scott Myers is the owner. The experience was great. I have now switched to them from all the other HVAC people that I have. He was actually doing a favor for the prior A/C guy because he was on vacation. He was so full of information and spent such a length of time looking into my system and the problem that I was having that I am not going to use anybody but him from now on. He truly explained what was going on. I didn't have to pay anything this time but I've been told he has very reasonable rates. The quality of service is outstanding. I will absolutely use him in the future.

Tex Rite (Scott) came out to the house and analyzed the problem and suggested a couple different options. We are assigned overseas, so Scott had the added difficult of us not being in the house. But he kept in contact, and was generous about getting on the phone and explaining what needed to be done. Scott replaced two of our units, spending a whole Saturday out at the house getting the system up and running.
We couldnt have asked for better service. He did everything he promised and more. I would high recommend this company.

They did an excellent job, and I was very satisfied with them. I was amazed by how knowledgeable, informative and thorough they were. They showed me things that they noticed in my attic that needed work that were not things that were their business to do; it was of no financial advantage for them. They were significantly less expensive than some other providers I checked. They did the work when they promised they would. I would rate them highly and would definitely use them again in the future.

Scott with Tex Rite gave us a bid with 3 different units that had different features and pricing. He had selected ones with good energy ratings and some that had mfgr. rebates. We selected a middle of the road model with a good mfgr. rebate. His crew worked very effeciently. In a matter of hours, the new system was installed. Scott, the owner , came by himself to check on the job after it was completed to make sure everything was installed with excellence. We really appreciated Scott spending time with us explaining the new unit and patiently going over the new thermostat. Everything was done with excellence!!!!!! We really have a great deal of respect for this company and the way they do business.

I was expecting company and woke up to see the red warning light on my thermostat. My imagination, as it turns out told me the house was warmer than usual. Tex Rite came out that very afternoon to check since my units had been repaired recently. It was explained that the red light is a built in system check to check the filters and if nothing is wrong you can manually override. I was instructed how to do this quick procedure (and felt a little stupid to tell you the truth). They were only at the house a very short time and my company enjoyed a cool house after all.

Scott came out on Memorial Day (no extra charge!) to see why my upstairs was not cooling. He quickly identified the problems and fixed what was wrong. My kids sleep upstairs and went from sleeping at 82 degrees to using a blanket that very night! He is hands down the smartest A/C person we have ever used. We have used Scott through a large company for 4 years, requesting only him, and we would wait until HE could work our service call. We were thrilled to hear he now owns Tex Rite and now we don't have to wait long for a service call. My parents visiting from out of town were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge and that he removed his shoes each time he entered the house.
