The installation was great. They were on time and overall the floor looked great. After 6 mos. chunks of the floor started to come up. The owner said some of it was due to the moisture content in the original slab and that the water based sealer they applied was not strong enough. We were sent a kit to fix it ourselves, and it does not match the rest of the floors. We continually have chunks of our floor coming up. Not what I expected for almost 4K and a “10 year warranty.” Very disappointed.

"The [Member Name Removed] reviews are completely false and inaccurate. 6-8 months after [Member Name Removed]'s new floors were installed, the [Member Name Removed]'s slab was varified to contain "Efflorescence". Efflorescece is a slab issue that damages ANY flooring attached to that slab. Efflorescence damages all floors the same. Excess moisture caused by a broken pipe, hole in slab barrier, heavy rains, standing/constant water along the foundation, constant wet grass/mulch against the slab, etc under/around the clients slab, soaks into the pores slab, and then makes it's way through the slab and will either heave up as a white powder (salts in the slab concrete) or actual water (if really severe) damaging the slab and any flooring in its path.. Google Efflorescence or go to www.MyStoneFX.com to learn all about Efflorescence and see pictures of how it damages floors. After determining the [Member Name Removed]'s slab had Efflorescence and letting them know that this damage to our floors is not covered under our (or any other flooring companies) warranty and we gave them the cost to repair the damage caused by Efflorescence (which included a FREE DIY repair option) they declined any assistantance we offered. Poured a concrete overlay over previously existing concrete floors inside our house. After about 8 months we had pieces of the floor come up. We contacted the company and were told that it was a problem with our slab, and that the 10 year warranty would not cover the issue. The sent us a kit to fix it ourselves. Another year went by and we have had many more pieces of the concrete overlay come up. The owner came back and looked at it and told us once again, it was excess moisture in our slab and that the sealer THEY applied did not work and it was causing effervescence. They sent us another kit with the items needed to fix it ourselves. When we fix the holes ourselves, it does not match, and is noticeable. Every time we fix spots, more come up. It incredibly frustrating to spend close to 4000 dollars on flooring and have it come up. This is our forever home, and I thought concrete flooring would last us forever.

Process was excellent from start to finish. William (owner) was there everyday and did majority of the work himself.  He sent daily emails to tell us what to expect and was always very responsive to suggestions/feedback.  He was very helpful in explaining choices and helping us alongg the way with education.  The patio turned out wonderful and his attention to detail was excellent.  We have a lot of projects going on at the moment and this was one of the last ones started and the first to finish. Would highly recommend Stone FX.  very nice to see someone still cares about the customer and takes pride in their work.
