Quality Construction

1) Walked away from unfinished work. I paid him in adavance (huge mistake from my end) .... he had no incentive to finish the job if he did not want to. He ran the cost too high because he is not organized, so walked out on unfinished job. He still had to tile and lay floors when he decided that the money I gave him in advance would not cover the entire job. I learned later that he had not paid some of the subs 2) He appears confident with a strong personality. Comes across like he knows what he is doing. But he made many mistakes that had to be re-done and he sent me the bill to pay for his mistakes. Examples: >> I paid for hot water heater twice he forgot that we had already paid for it when he brought in another plumber to install one, he deducted the money from an advance payment that he requested. >> He framed the tub area wrongly, he had to resize later (I had to pay for that mistake) >> Tiled around the tub before all the plumbing was complete, he had to remove the tiles (I had to pay too) >> He rendered an entire wall in a closet unusable because he placed the door at the wrong place (I am living with that mistake, too expensive to change) >> Steers the customer towards his own interests. For example; Despite my expressed wish not to use certain windows he still ordered and installed the wrong color, to avoid additional cost I decided to keep them.
